The Solar Bus Revolution Begins In Nigeria
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 вер 2024
- The world's first 100% solar bus fleet is up and running in Nigeria. Charging from the plentiful sun over Maiduguri, Phoenix Renewables is running a regular service that is not only clean and quiet on the roads, but also cheaper for passengers. Self-made entrepreneur Mustapha Gajibo's vision goes beyond electrifying gasoline-powered buses and boosting the local economy. He wants cities around the world to benefit from the technology. REV went to see what an impact the solar-powered buses are having in the Maiduguri region, which has suffered from years of instability and terrorism.

Talk about an everyday here that needs celebration and support! This man is a true champion of the people and the planet! Good on ya!!!
Mustapha, you sir are amazing - inspiration mate
What he really needs now is support from our government to help improve this wonderful accomplishment and also will give Nigeria a good name
No he doesn't need the government they will stall his growth, he needs serious investors and a push from the society, its high time we should divorce our mind and progress with the government.
He doesn't need the government
Government 😂😂
He needs investors with capital but they would hesitate because the region is extremely Islamic and anti-progress.
@@guda12I agree with you but the guy is in a region of Islamic extremism and anti-progress. Do you notice how the women are forced to conceal their appearance? I thought I was looking at Afghanistan. Really depressing.
Baba Mustapha, Breaking Records, I Celebrate You Legend
You are a legend Sir. Thanks for not giving up on your country

Another oil dependent majority Muslim Country Malaysia can learn much from this inspiration : ) Big up to the good work man!
0:13 This must not be the future for cities of the world. Stop thinking that we need CARS EVERYWHERE
Good point @vivahollandia32. In this case we are discussing clean mass transit options, ie how to boost public transport and move away from individual car use.
So a place that most people don't have clean drinking water and you worry about their transportation, worry about your own yard....
African vehicles built for African roads
It's Maruti Suzuki Eeco from India 💙💙💙

Where are the Dangotes? Please help this young man. He is so humble, eloquent vision driven. Please, please, please I pray do not let his dream die.Mustapha can also ask Nigerians in diaspora to buy shares into his company and help generate funds. From charging station to spare parts, Mustapha has it all thought out.
dangote would rather him dead than invest a penny on him, this is a threat to his refinery.
This is quite impressive!
Epic I need to make a mini bus so I will not be homeless in America
Great story, that young man will go far!
😊😊😊😊. Where is his business now ? We better be realistic. This guy ain’t going far without cash. And to be more realistic, the ultimate focus should be on battery innovation because that’s the most expensive part of an electric car.
Great Video Infact india need solar powered bus and cars Air pollution noise pollution traffic gam and most important health issues
Indiana me kab lunch hogi
Nice mustapha
The fact that you are doing this at borno state makes more special.
Nice one brr
This is almost identical to the Mitsubishi Minicab Miev that is Electric out of the factory first made about a decade ago I am interested in them because they are small and light with a small battery pack which means they can be practically charged at home on solar. Im not interested in an electric car that costs 70 grand and weighs 3 tonne that needs an 80kw battery to haul its fat ass around, these little trucks have a 15kw battery from the factory that can easily be upgraded to 30kw and then have a range of 300km. These are the answer until battery density go up and costs come down for the next decade or so....
Am alittle worried about the batteries next to you in the box you drove at the end of the video; isn't that dangerous; couldn't it be located somewhere else?
Amazing!
I would definitely buy one of those cute little yellow taxis if they sold them here in the US 0:01
These guys use lithium ion battery cells but which electric motors are they using
