I'm so glad you address this confusing idiom in contexts, Pastor JD as I trust your interpretation the most. I'm right about that, your interpretation is most consistent and biblical. Many other teachers I heard before were not consistent, so I was confused. You're the best! 🙏

I’m awake, aware, watching every hour for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ…. I have been aware He would rapture us since I was a child. The Holy Spirit told me and I believed. I’m so excited to the point of giddy. 🙏🙌🏼🇮🇱…I too look forward to every knee bowing….the disgusting blasphemy against our precious Jesus enrages me…I know we are supposed to pray for them…that’s hard but I do.

Yeah! It kind of reminded me of Michael Corleone from the Godfather 2 movie when he was at mass for the baptism of his brother-in-law’s child. Please explain how the wrath (day)of the Lord is the same as the 7 year tribulation. I always thought it was 2 separate things. The seven year tribulation , culminates in the day or wrath of the lord

I have a similar problem. I use the app several hours after the service concludes. There's usually 2 versions of Bible Prophecy, one includes the worship, and the other does not, only preaching.
Well, the worship version was posted alone, but when I selected it, my screen stayed blank. 🤔 I don't get it.

just because we do not know when he is coming does not mean he is coming like a thief. You said it. we are not of the night. Jesus said in Luke night time was their hour when they came for him. what did David say. The Lord is my Shepard. Jesus told Peter to feed his Sheep. Jesus is not a thief nor is he coming like one.

[2] For you yourselves know perfectly well that the day of the [return of the] Lord is coming just as a thief [comes unexpectedly and suddenly] in the night.
Luke 12:35-40 AMP
[35] “Be dressed and ready for active service, and keep your lamps continuously burning. So, if the rapture does not start the tribulation, but the 7 year peace agreement, how much time between the two? ...
No one knows for sure.
No one knows for sure. But, think on this...
The second AFTER millions just disappear, in the wake of our sudden departure, chaos will erupt. How many planes will go down without pilots? How many trains will derail? How many ships will crash? How many car wrecks will there be? How many emergency responding vehicles will crash?
The global carnage and mass fear will be unlike anything this world has ever seen. It seems like the sudden destruction would bring about the (sweetened) 7-year covenant with many.
The AntiChrist, whom I firmly believe is alive right now and behind the scenes, will rise up probably immediately after the Rapture. Just my thoughts.
Jesus said the thief comes to steal and to kill and to destroy. Jesus said he was the good Shepard. So no matter what people want to believe the Thief in the Night is for the Sinners. Because Jesus does not need to steal what already belongs to him. Ever verse you are saying talking about the sinners not watching because they are not watching for something they do no believe in. Joel, Amos, Zephaniah talk about the Day of the Lord as what is going to happen in the 7 years. Satan is the Thief.
Like a thief in the night means unexpectedly. We are not in darkness for it to come as a thief. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.
