Dude that’s some crazy talent. I can’t believe he can just grab some wood and turn it into what ever he wants!

Just curious, what is the rpm for something that size?

For something this size I would usually start out at around 300rpm and be at about 500 near the end

What type of oil did you use?

What type of lathe do you have? I thought maybe Delta but I can’t tell. I’d really like to upgrade from my craftsman to something that can turn large chunks like I see in your videos. Seems to handle the weight pretty well. Great stuff.

I am not familiar with woodworking, are there any varnish that do not stain the wood? Because from what I see the varnishes/ oils seem to make the wood look darker then it originally was.

Please change that cheap shitty thin tin crappy sign, to one of quality real timber, wooden sign that incorporates your logo and represents the beautiful work you produce... Makers expect more, so make a better quality custom made sign to display your work and great looking logo, just as your work deserves... not one that's cheap looking that a $2 dollar shop can produce. Pride in your branded sign is just as important as the Pride you take in your work - fix it !
