As a British cultural studies student its interesting to see how Americans look at what is every day knowledge to us...keep it up!! its nice that someone is prepared to take the time out to help undergraduates with tackling theory!!! Its more difficult than it looks!!!

I take it your comment was a personal jibe, irrelevant to the vid. Nonetheless the question of whether a culture is a "Joke" does come into the topic.
Meaningful resistance to dominant order or style, yes, but what about not wanting to be like everybody else and assertion of individuality. If you want to explore an interesting youth culture, observe home educated students.
