(Faulty Door!) Schindler Miconic 10 Elevators - ROW NYC in New York, NY

- Here we have another set of Miconic 10 elevators! This one is located on 8th Ave and 44th-45th Streets. This is formally called the Milford Plaza Hotel as you can see in the picture shown in the intro. The low-rise bank serves floors 4 through 15 while the high-rise bank serves floors 15 through 28. Both banks serve floors 2 and 3. A HUGE thank you to the wonderful hotel employees for allowing me to take a ride on these wonderful elevators here.
MY THOUGHTS:
This Miconic 10 system is pretty good. However, I noticed that Car D has a faulty door sensor. As you can see when I tried to head down in that car, the door keeps opening back up for no reason. As a result, I ended up getting another car down to the lobby and apparently, Car D was able to start working again as you'll notice that people are entering Car D while I was trying to get a ride on the low-rise bank. Other than that minor difficulty, these run pretty well and the cab design looks really good.

Now this is Schindler MiChronic 10 at its finest!
It's also partly ID.
Temple 92 Is it? People come up with a lot of bullshit arguing what’s M10 and what’s ID.
@@gpgbdaf The keypads are upgraded to ID. ID is why it says which direction the car is. Newer ID keypads (Like what you saw in the lobby) have different displays. and lower pitched chimes and voices.
Lights in the floor! Cool!
Car "D" as in "Door Disease" is refusing to cooperate. Pick an option to mitigate the problem:
A) Terminate Car D
B) Fix the doors
C) Knock some sense into Car D
D) Modernise Car D
Clinton Township Lifts by MagicalLift256 In my opinion, I would choose options B and C
Now it's more like Car "D" as in "Doesn't Work Correctly" is refusing to operate the way it should.
@@elevatingnc32 I'd pick "A" Lmao
@@blueauraretriever Look at the sequel to D! The top floor's speaker for its ADA lantern is sped up!
Go with B
Now, the low rise bank has no flashing lanterns or musical chimes. The high rise elevators' lanterns flash in regular mode now. I believe that they go solid when the car arrives.
wow one panel got kicked in!
Manhattan is a New York City borough that is coterminous with New York County. It is the most populous borough in New York City. It is also home to the Freedom Tower and the Rockefeller Center.
I visited this place recently, the problems seem to be fixed.
Surprised that Car D didn't nudge. Also the keypads on the first floor got replaced.

Is that the same hotel with the Otis series 4 shuttle elevators?

Why did you need permission to ride these elevators?
Asking for permission is usually the right thing to do whenever you step foot on private property since they are usually strict with people coming in without any legitimate business. Hotels are considered as private properties, even though they're open to the general public. However, if you're polite to them about explaining your hobby and getting a ride on the elevators, maybe they'll let you take a ride on the elevators, like in this scenario.
@@windycityelevators Is this the exact same reason why you asked for permission to ride the Polaris elevator in the Hyatt in Atlanta?
@@johnoconnor4019 yes
@@windycityelevators I’m sure the Hyatt in Atlanta is strict about non-guests coming in.
Do you remember how many times and how often you’ve been denied permission to film and ride an elevator (or go inside a building)?
I don't remember the exact count but I would say about 90% of the time whenever I try to get permission to film their elevators, I ended up getting turned away.
