could you explain me why , some times use s in Need o r Needs? The lights need.... the oven needs?

Third person simple present rule.
For these pronouns (I, you , they, we) the verb in the normal form without s
I Cook
You cook
They cook
We cook
For these pronouns (she, he, it) in the present add s
He cooks
She cooks
It cooks
The lights = they (plural) - no s -
The oven = it (singular) - add s -
The oven need = it needs
The ovens need = they need
