At his age, it was difficult to recover his energy and muscles with such an arrangement. He also wondered why other players who played earlier than him yesterday were arranged to play even later than him today, they got much more time to rest and recover. I think he was really tired today too not just because he's older and had much lesser time to recover, but he had a tough long match yesterday too. Hope he gets more luck in match timing arrangements in the future! :)
