Great looking buggy and if that is the grandmother of the bunch then grandma is a very quick old lady!!! It looked wonderful running out on the track!! I love the wheel nuts/hubcaps on these! Sorry one broke but I am glad you found the pieces and were able to fix it back up. Thanks for showing us around the car and then taking it out on the track for us to enjoy!!
Hi Addam, sometimes Granny does it better....And this is one. If you don't drive it you can't understand how nice and easy and predictable is run this Avante. You will never stop. Spinning tires give the sensation that has less power because the start is smooth but the speed is more than enough. Wheel fixed!! Thanks for comment and pit stop. Ciao Nanni
Oh, wow, Nanni, I now understand why you glue and repair that old transmitter! The HMI (human-machine interface) is perfect, I can see how you drive this one, so much more comfortable than the new ones, it's really beautiful! Very nice to see, I have never really understood the Avante before now.
Peter Pan syndrome.... The car is super and the backpack is a gift from my lovely wife that looks at me and my toys smiling but with a sadness in the eyes... Ciao!
Hey Nanni, thanks for showing us the Avante close up. I had never appreciated the complex system for maintaining the top level of the car and how the battery tray worked. Very lovely car 😎
Hi Nanni, love the rucksack! Great way to carry your car to the venue. The Avante still looks and performs amazing! Back in then, Tamiya were so, so advanced with there design, and the Avante still has it! Awesome RC, you’ve looked after it very well indeed. Thank you for showing us. Take care and best wishes to you and the family. 😊😉😊
La Avante è stato uno shock e nonostante il prezzo ho fatto di tutto per averla quando è uscita. Ancora oggi insuperata anche se Egress è mille volte meglio. Ciao!
Tamiya collectors around the world getting violent over the way you manhandled that old gal 😂. Just tell them Meow 🤣 In all seriousness’s Thank you for sharing and taking this original out to play. Still handheld beautiful on the track 👍
It seems a sacrilege to handle at top speed this car but I ensure you that is strong and very predictable. and as I say with the real one " come one its a car and has to behave like that". Thanks for watching and Ciao!
Hi Nanni, that was a really interesting tour of the car on the bench! I love how the wheels are attached with the no-tools-required. As you might know, I still use the old 27mHz radios on a lot of my cars. It was cool to see the Avante ripping up the track at the end. Great job, my friend! :O)
OH! Thank you Mark, as I'm a little old I have a lot of cars with 27 radio too. On the track I found again my fantastic Avante not used for so may years. Not glued tires make the car not so nervous as it could be but is good for mechanic saving and driving. Thank you for watching and all the bests! Ciao Nanni
They generally weigh a lot less, upsets the L/R balance a lot. I run a non-LCG shorty in my Egress and had to put lots of weight on the right rear hand side. I think it's even more difficult to do that on the Avante, there's even less chassis space to place it on..
Def one of tamiyas coolest looking but sadly for tamiya,, looks is all they achieved. Performance is piss poor. Kyosho is who owned the field on rere’s. Even the optima mid can keep up with modern buggies.
Gotta love that track, proper oldschool dirt. Thanks for a great video :)
Wow! Thank you:. Ciao Nanni

Never too late! Top looking, top mechanical parts top to top. Naturally considering the age.
Great to see a legend in action. Great corner sequence from 16:10 to 16:30. Bravo 🙌
Bravo Tamiya!!
You dont look a day over 38. Great car And backpack! 👍👍

Indeed a lovely, silent, handling car!! Ciao, thank you
Grande Nanni ti seguo con molto interesse!!!! Bella anche la pista di casa!!! Complimenti !!!
grazie, spero di interessare e magari suggerire qualche cosa.. Ciao
Tamiya should make an on road version of the Studebaker Avanti, 1963’s worlds fastest production car 😁 great video my friend

You are right THE DESIGN! Also with the Super Avante they didn't reached that hight. Ciao
Ai miei occhi il più bel buggy di sempre 😍

Nice car. It is very cool to see how it runs around your track. Hope you can fix it well.
Fixed thank you!

The re-release of this car I think you can still get it in parts for it it did come with the cam locks it's the Black edition and onwards it did not.
Nice to know! Ciao
Are you going to get a td2?
You know there are 4,000 milliamp out lipopacs that will fit this car.
Yess, but this is vintage.....

Yes agree Kyosho is more but this was absolutely new and nice tome.
