I was at the park with my wife and 2 yo son yesterday, and I was pushing him on the swing. My wife was taking pics and looked down by my foot, and she noticed a tip of a knife sticking out of the snow. She went down and dug it out and pulled out the Buck 110 auto. I looked at it and thought no way. It looked to be buried in the snow for a few months, I pushed the button, and it flicked out with no issues. I cleaned it up when I got home and it is in perfect condition no rust or damage other than some gouge marks on the tip of the frame, whoever owned it used it to open his beer bottles. Other than that, it is in perfect condition and SUPER sharp. I feel bad for the guy and would love to return it to him, but I have no way of finding out who lost it. So I guess I just came up on a really nice knife. I'll keep it till my son gets old enough to carry a knife and give it to him and tell him the story.
Has anyone seen my knife that I lost? It was a 110 auto. For real though you should send it to me because I love knives but will never be able to afford the 110 auto that I want.
@Matt Sowder lol. I am posting this everywhere maybe the guy that lost it will see these post. I feel so bad for the guy. I took it to our local knife shop and asked them if anybody mentioned it they said no. I had them clean it up real good and sharpen it. Man this is a beautiful knife and now I want to buy another one in case I lose this one lol.
I bought one . Was playing with it , getting to know it . Put the new pocket clip on it . Nice ! Dropped it on the wood floor and it quits working. Called buck to send it for warranty fix. Was told they cannot fix because of the complicated springs and mechanisms. They would however sell me a new on for half price . A big disappointment.
Moral of the story, you drop it and that causes damage and malfunction, you are partially responsible. I think they were being generous by offering to replace it for half off. You live and learn. So don't drop a $200 knife and expect the manufacturer to give you a new one for free.
Your Benchmade comparison. You’re comparing a switchblade against a gravity knife. You’re just saying that you prefer a gravity knife. Fine. Some people, especially those with diminished function in their hands or wrists, might prefer the switchblade. If it was merely a solution looking for a problem, Buck wouldn’t have made it. They make these because there’s a market for it. People were modifying their 110’s to make them autos. Unfortunately, Buck decided that their 110 auto needed to be extremely expensive. Apparently, they’re still selling them so they don’t need to drop the price.
I haven't seen the finish work on the automatic but I'm guessing the price difference gets you a knife that is more refined too. I have a 112 Ranger made in 1997 that is like new still and it's far more finished in comparison to the new ones. There is a huge difference. Modern 112 knives really aren't much more expensive than the ones of old given inflation. I'm guessing the price difference is worth it.
I’m a new subscriber I have a question? I have an older folding knife and for my life I cannot find anything on it. It looks old military but I’m not sure it’s deff 50s or older is there anyway I can send or post a few picture? I need help finding this knife out
The idea of an automatic 110 is cool but I'm happy with my 110 manual. I have plenty of automatic out the side and out the front knives to keep me happy. Don't mess with a great design, the classic 110. I also can't see putting G10 and micarta scales and expensive blade steels and bolsters on them. Just enjoy the original brass, diamondwood and 420 steel version. But I suppose they need to issue new versions to keep selling them. Just my opinion.
I think you're paying for the nostalgias' in a way. Enjoy the knife, life is too short. I just got the 110 a few days ago, Mind has 3 brass and 1 steel pins where your auto has 4 brass and 1 steel pins. Maybe the extra brass pin justifies the extra cost a little. I think you have a great knife.
Yeah, you’re paying for nostalgia not the design of incorporating an entire spring mechanism into a thin folder in addition to manufacture and installation of all of it. 🙄
Its 2024. Weve come a long way in knives and steels. I nvr carry my 110. Too heavy, steel sucks, and bucks warranty is a joke. For $200+ u can get a great knife, with great action, great steel, and many deployment methods. That said $200 for a bugout is a joke also
all knives become loose after enough use, especially automatics because of the sudden stop of the blade after its been deployed. out of the box (especially a buck 110) im sure its sturdy and feels like a fixed blade
No the price is outrageous in comparison to the manual model. Absolutely ridiculous, and they should be ashamed of themselves. We can buy the manual model for $59.00 But to have that little push button add another $150.00 Manual $59.00 Automatic $209.00 Absolutely ridiculous!!! Thank for the video good work!

Agree. I bought my first 110 for $39. Then the price started creeping up. What are they now, $65 for the same exact knife. Crazy. You can buy a 110 nylon handle version for $30. I have one. $180 for the auto is insane. Not worth it to me. But you decide.
Buck 110 is the GOAT
I pocket carry mine every day. Have never had it accidentally open .
I carry this and a 120, because I am a turbochad
Already carry the non auto version, so if it wasn't for the price, couldn't think of a good reason not to carry it
I wish they would release MORE of these! I need to add it to my collection!

Same thing happened to me also.
So much for that “forever” warranty.
That's disappointing too hear. I think Buck should replaced it for you.

What year did the buck 110 car come out? I have one that says it's from 2013. I don't know if it's true.
1963

Can this be purchased in California?
No, you need to move to a free state.
Does yours have a rattle to it moving it back and forth with your hand?
No rattle on mine.
Killer 110 for sure 😊
Thank you for honesty, you just save me $250👍🙏
You should go for it. They're awesome knives

Rambling on. If you going to do a review. Why not at least show if it has blade wobble.
