I had legitimate concerns that I was missing something during this process of the creation of my first course. By The grace of God, I found this video and allowed me to take a step back and fill in the holes in the foundation that I was missing. I loved Sunny's criteria for what you should create your course over. Without seeing this video I had done just that! I am an expert in what I am doing, I have experience, and I have solved the problem for myself and for others!! Im excited to apply this information as I continue to press forward with my process. My first course did 10k in 5 days with zero content created during the presale. I spent about a year targeting my audience on UA-cam. I don't have much competition in my niche. I'm dripping out content every 10 days and when all the modules are out I'm opening enrollment again. Right now I have a waitlist capturing emails of interested students so I can let them know when it opens back up. I'm very excited to see what happens once I get to the evergreen point.

Three reasons: 1) it's free, 2) It has its own audience, so if my audience doesn't buy, maybe someone from Udemy audience buys (which was the case), 3) They work with different payment systems, including Payoneer, whilst Teachable and other platforms only use PayPal (it doesn't operate in my country) and US bank accounts.
It's funny how a small shift in mindset can have such a dramatic change in how we see things! What stood out the most for me was when you mentioned how you created UA-cam videos with the intent of sending them to clients who asked the same questions you were answering for other clients. I can only imagine the feeling you felt the day you realized that it wasn't just your clients who were viewing the videos. You were definitely onto something. @@SunnyLenarduzzi I've always had a lot of anxiety about pre-sale, but the way you've described it here gave me a new way of visualizing it. The live version of the course is literally like taking a course in-person - the students enroll, they can see the curriculum (syllabus) and some of the resources, but the magic will be co-created during the course. When you described the "easiest way to sell" process and talked about having a call with the prospect - it suddenly made so much sense. I haven't been thinking of this as a reality. I've been picturing what I've experienced - never getting to actually speak to anyone involved in the course like a human being, just a bunch of automated emails and landing pages. Since I'm new to this (and even when I'm not) - it's super important to have that human contact and connection to sell things and to get to know your audience deeply. Your explanations really humanize this process and make it seem possible and enjoyable vs. insurmountable and all tech/emails funnels (even though those are necessary too).

Class doesn't begin until the end of this month but I'm confident that I'll have at least 10 participants. Thanks a million, this video is great for procrastinators like me. I had years of experience as a "face to face" trainer/public speaker and I have some short tutorials online here and there but the chief reason I don't have an online course is that I have always thought that I need to create the whole curriculum and record all those videos in order to have a finished product to sell, which is a mammoth of a task and very difficult to do as a side hustle. I love the approach you explained here @Sunny Lenarduzzi and it makes a lot of sense not only to gauge the interest before doing the whole thing but get some cash flow that will free you and enable you to complete the course!

Sunny - I've been watching your videos for just over a year and for some reason, while I was watching this particular video, I truly felt like you were talking to me. I've created a case management system for the legal community that is doing amazing and really selling, but I've hit a ceiling and can't take on more clients. I know I can create a great course, but execution of it eludes me because of the immense options available. Of course, I want it to be perfect - don't we all. I finally started my business and UA-cam channel (just under a year ago) after absorbing all of your inspiration and fabulous content. It's going so well, and I have a platform and audience. Why is execution so hard? However, I think this was the video I needed to finally push me to get the course out there, and for this, I wanted to thank you so much for being you and doing what you do. 2 questions, the first question is, how do you create a course without videos? I’m not interested in being in front of the camera. The second question is, how do you prevent someone who purchases your course from either sharing it with friends or reselling it? How do you protect your intellectual property? But also… How smart are you at the end of this video by explaining that if the course is not right for someone, you’ll let them know… When a club is more exclusive, more people wanna join. I caught that and it’s smart.

I had years of experience as a "face to face" trainer/public speaker and I have some short tutorials online here and there but the chief reason I don't have an online course is that I have always thought that I need to create the whole curriculum and record all those videos in order to have a finished product to sell, which is a mammoth of a task and very difficult to do as a side hustle.

I've created a case management system for the legal community that is doing amazing and really selling, but I've hit a ceiling and can't take on more clients. I know I can create a great course, but execution of it eludes me because of the immense options available. Of course, I want it to be perfect - don't we all. I finally started my business and UA-cam channel (just under a year ago) after absorbing all of your inspiration and fabulous content. It's going so well, and I have a platform and audience. Watched it until the end, got impressed from the first video, and then rolled to the next until the end, and the next, ... Honestly saying; You Rock! One more point - I like the fact that you are so straight forward in your communication, it feels as if you are NOT holding back information to manipulate into a sale, which is so refreshing nowadays.
2 questions, the first question is, how do you create a course without videos? I’m not interested in being in front of the camera. The second question is, how do you prevent someone who purchases your course from either sharing it with friends or reselling it? How do you protect your intellectual property? But also… How smart are you at the end of this video by explaining that if the course is not right for someone, you’ll let them know… When a club is more exclusive, more people wanna join. I caught that and it’s smart.
Unfortunately, when it comes to intellectual property, I refrain from advising on legal items since I am not a lawyer. Therefore, this is something I'd definitely refer to a professional about. I know intellectual property law, so I’m asking you how do you protect your material from someone purchasing it and then reselling it, or just sharing it with a friend.
A couple of years ago when I first started watching your content I admit to being a bit prejudiced and wanting to disregard your message as just another attractive female with not much else (SHAME ON ME!). Fast forward a couple of years and let me tell you Ms. Sunny, YOUR ARE THE BEST THING GOING ON UA-cam!!! Hand down!
