Oh, I forgot to mention a detail about the bucket warp to the Midas River yesterday. If you play the Midas River course that way, the Toad at the bottom will be absent, and there'll be a note instead that says to keep any coins you collected on that trip. (2:40) Bravely Second FTW. (7:43) Oh, that's neat that you can switch party members during battle in this version. Looks like it's limit once per battle though. Also, it's interesting that this allows you to use Geno's speed to get a slower party member to attack first. (10:52) After KO-ing the first Snifit there, if you leave the other one alone for a moment, it'll run away and cower in the northwest corner. You can still fight it there, of course.
Gotta love how you can see Dyna on the mine cart on the world map. Mite is probably with her you just can’t see him. So that’s a nice touch for the remake. 🤩
Bowers has at least one major buff in that he arguably has the best damage triple techs in the game. Of course, that doesn't really matter if you're soft banning triple techs.
In the booster portraits I noted the physical features: Red beret and glases, Yellow hat, Red hat and right eyepatch, mohawk and shades, red hat and glases, red beret and big eyes, My younger brother, being way smarter than me and a real genius, had a bright idea, he took an instant photo.
Bowser’s got poor specials, but his strength and weapons were generally pretty good as I recall. I really didn’t like Mallow on the Snes, so I usually used him and Geno for Mario’s team (at least until Peach). And his “throw Mario” weapon is hilarious
Bowser actually got buffed in the remake, particularly his Specials (still a bit underwhelming, but buffed, nonetheless). The fact more bosses have vulnerabilities to Fear and Poison, being able to swap characters on-the-fly, and the addition of Triple Moves improved Bowser. However, EVERYONE got improved so it's kinda... meh...
I'm not sure if I would say the last party member got improved really, considering how many items you can tote around now. But yeah, the fear alone had made bowser pretty valuable on my run, combined with his triple options and splash damage. Even his weaker specials were useful at times and the higher FP costs hardly mattered considering how much higher your FP total gets early in the game.

I have to say, they did a fantastic job with the overworld map. It looks amazing. Interesting that you say Bowser is bad. I beat the game pretty much using Mario/Geno/Bowser the entire time. At 10:55, I thought if you wait a bit, the snifit runs away and cowers under the stairs.
One thing that always bothered me about SMRPG: I can understand locking Mario in the active party, but why can't I move him to the middle or right position?
I really like the ability to switch party members during battles, I wish that Radiant Historia game had done that, too. I kind of would have liked both this and RH to not have that "can't remove the main character from the active party", though. :/

Never really found any of the team in Mario RPG to be terrible. You can circumvent most composition advantages/disadvantages with items, and there is no "too good to use" club in this game, since everything is so easy to get. When I was a kid my go to parties were either Mario, Peach, and Geno. Or Mario Bowser and Peach. As I got older I started to favor Mario, Bowser, and Geno. In this remaster I love using Bowser and Mallow because of Clown Car Barrage. Mallow's happy face while he lobs lightning and ice balls is so charming, and Bowser feels like a proud uncle or something, cheering them on and then shoot the finale bomb lmao

That's what I was asking, is there any way to get BOTH? The accessory is too good to pass up as it has death protection and cuts all ELEM DMG by 1/2.
