This is literally what I thought, shoebills are my favorite bird and they’re quite “gentle” around humans I’ve never read anywhere that they’ve done something to anybody.
@@sarikaa725 Explain how a shoebill is very dangerous, they're known for being quite docile around humans, in fact researchers are capable of getting within 6 feet of the bird and it'll just stare back at them. The same can't be done with a cassowary as it'll see you as a threat and attack to defend itself, especially if it has chicks.
Excactly what I though, fighting off a shoebill would be easier than fighting a pelican, which a pelican would still be easy to fight. Cassowaries on the other hand can possibly knock a person out with a single kick to the head, they jump up to 6 feet in the air and will always try to pin their prey down with their claws. Edit: probably a little more difficult than a pelican, but still not much of a challenge.

No Shoebill storks are more related to pelicans and herons. While Cassowaries are ratites, making them living relatives of the moas.
