"After Life" is my favorite song of the album. Maybe it's the case because I heard it first on BAND-MAID's livestream and they killed it. But every time I come back on the studio version, I like it even more. I love everything about it. "BLACK HOLE" and "Warning!" are the other two of my top 3 but it might change because other songs are really growing on me
@The Champ Of Medium Hi, sorry for buting in; I thought as you you've not reached a 'public' date of a reaction of yours ro to this band or this song yet, this is not what I suggest, but for your own listening if you so wish, to feed off some of that vibes, feel, force, energy from a song that hits all those right aspects listeners, musical happyness can get radiated from. So, I feel here's a possible good suggestion of a K-Rock/Metal band, akin to Band-Maid in their well played edgy mix of rocking metal and hard & heavy skills, with vocal range and a inner collective confident sound of accomplished energized, ploshed & synergistic performances. band *_Rolling Quartz_* songs *_Blaze_* and a *_Youth Gone Wild (Skidrow)_* cover, and a *_Bad Romance (Lady Gaga_* & *_Halestorm*_) cover, which they all have a similar gist, bent, flavours of shared vibes, feel, energy range of intesity and change field of group coordinating in the groove/moment, as in this and othe great Band-Maid songs possess, that hook you in.
Band-Maid makes great intros. Band-Maid has great riffs. Band-Maid always gives surprising second verses. Band-Maid's choruses are catchy as hell. Band-Maid are the best bridge maker in the world. Band-Maid guitar solos are short but always effective. Band-Maid rhythm section is the best in the world. .... Just what I always hear about Band-Maid. And I agree with all of them.
This is def one of the more mainstream sounding songs on the album. But it's still a banger. Gotta love the Miku screams. Props for holding out so long & not listening to this on the online concert. I also wish Kanami solo was a bit longer, she always leaves us wanting more.
Miku, Miku, Miku! She is growing and showing here talent and desire is as fierce as any band member. Having the vision of what she wanted her band to be, pulling individual band members in, who she didn't know is amazing. Add she gave up her place as the lead singer, and decided to learn rythym guitar, wow. She is one strong willed lady and so damn cute it pulls at your heart strings. Great reaction as always.
Probably my favorite song on the album just on pure riffage alone. That riff is so simple but so powerful and I love it so much. Miku yelling just pushed it over the top for me.
This cd as i've listened to it on repeat over and over. I find myself constantly battling on what is my current favorite song. This cd is pure greatness. I honestly don't know what else to see. No other album will touch this this year
Unseen World is such a great album. I can’t wait to see a live version of these songs. Chemical Reaction so far is my favorite with Manners a close second.
As always, like your short jokes, "Brooklyn Bridge". Great reaction, analysis. The chorus gets better and better the more you hear it. Also as so often the song gets better the longer it lasts.
These new videos are killing me. I'm trying my best to wait til the album comes out to like to any more song, but the videos are so tempting. .....so yes I did immediately pause the reaction while typing this.
MISA is going HAM right along with Akane. She’s definitely already one the great bassists up there with Entwhistle and the bass player from Yes who’s name has completely escaped me. But he was brilliant and so is she!💪🏻🤘🏻
This is such an amazing song. I know I have the most listens on this song of any on the album but it just hits all my giggle spots (Miku's back ups and the I SAY YOU'LL LOVE ME!). It makes me super happy and energetic without the sensory overload a lot of the album does (not necessarily bad). The over arcing theme on this entire album is that machine gun masquerading as a kick drum. It's a little louder in the mix and just repeatedly punches you in the chest. This song does not color outside the lines like several of the songs on this album do. NO SPOILERS! You'll have to wait. ;)
Saw an interview with Miku & Kanami. They wanted to return to the cleaner, more direct sound of their early albums. The virtuoso playing is still there in a more subtle, clever manner. I’ve liked every song I’ve heard so far from “Unseen World”. In “After Life” I found Akane’s drumming to be amazing. I hope you do a review of the live version of this song.
The album has a great mix of songs...even the one or two songs I would personally consider weaker (not this one), I don't think I would skip on a listen through. Maybe the best yet, and definitely it adds a lot of complex, high-energy songs to their repertoire for live shows. I personally feel Akane is the best rock drummer I've ever heard. Not the showiest, but if you're paying attention, she's always surprising.
I like that they're laying off a little in UW. Brings more air. Allows them to be more approachable. Their YT channel subs should be in the millions! BTW - Kanami's "wanting more" solos have always been purposely short. I think some of the many changes in UW - their recent evolution, if you will - is longer solos and in-verse riffing... diffidently for MISA and Miku (vocally).
I've listened to the live version of After Life several times and it just keeps getting better. It reminds me of Play in this aspect, the live versions always sounded much more powerful than the recorded versions. This is Rock folks, the good old rock music of all time.
Thanks for the band maid reactions did you mean band maid basic lol and yep this whole album is so misa heavy and miku is doing more. love it.cant wait for sayonakidori
The only problem (and it's more a non-problem, but thats okay-po! ..ahem, )with Band-Maid, is that it's easier to wear out and damage your speakers listning to them, thier complex interwoven melodies of all their individual musicalities, performances, simply in action together, demands a level of bassyness always be applied, to hear as should be*, from resonance fluctuations in a speaker cone over its working life. *of course sub woofersand/or bass levels shouldn't be too much for the room, space your in, or relative to distance to your ear and the longterm effects of over-bass at short to in ear distances.
Unseen World has the best mix of their LPs. I don´t know if this has to do with the change of Label but, Thanks Goodness!!. The girls really deserve a production team that is at their height.
@@JuanSan66 But the Sound of Conqueror was allready perfect best Sound i ve EVER heard in my Life. And My Hi-Fi System only cost 300 Euros and was build in 2005.
I will note that "Manners" uses the chorus as a bridge and introduces a new final chorus that bridges the chorus-bridge and the jazzy piano outro, so if you want bridge fuckery, there you go. :P
Miku has a lead guitar part and a screamo in this track lol Akane is UPFRONT the whole album ;) Kanami comes in and gives you a taste to hook you, then does a super quick fly by to make you want MORE~! I personally LOVED this one more than Conqueror! in the YGM interview they asked each member what to look for in the new album. Misa: No God(bass solo) HGK(intro) Akane: Black Hole(fast beat) Kanami: AfterLife Saiki: Warning Miku: Sayonakidori(Miku song)
Regarding the position of the bridges: I would love them to break down all established song structures and go all out havoc on everything. I feel like this Album has a good chunk of that progressiveness in it and Black Hole might be a little glimpse into the future. And they can never be not catchy, so I would love them to just blow the little rest of my mind too so I can just be in music Nirwana already. I really lost my enthusiasm for the future of technology and society but if nothing else I wanna stick around to see what will happen with this band.
I miss Kanami s more outwritten better composed guitar Solos as in Alone and Bubble and Daydreaming. That are more one the Blues Rock Side and less Shred Goddess Side.

Hi! Its because this was cut from his long reaction to the whole album. He checked it all in one sitting in his patreon and is dropping them now one by one to yt. So he jumps to the next song there and thats why it kinda cuts sudden. 👍
Since I've recorded this, this chorus had jumped up to my top 3 on the album.
Isn’t it catchy AF???? Also hope you add more thoughts on sayonakidori after you initial listen :)

Everyone: Yes.
Miku's scream was so so awesome in that live... I love this one..this album, man.... wow!

Black hole is Akane's favor.
IIRC from the interview, their favorite tracks were:
Misa = NO GOD
Miku = Sayonakidori
Akane = BLACK HOLE
Saiki = Warning!
Kanami = After Life

Akane is basically in Ultra Instinct mode in this album
4 minutes of heaven. Most BAND-MAID songs are right around 4 minutes. Wish they would stretch a few out then the solos could be longer.
Live is where they stretch songs out. :)
When they get back to big stage. Kanami will double or triple her solo. We believe.
