- A Mumbai court on Wednesday sent Mihir Shah, accused in the BMW hit-and-run case and son of a Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) politician, to police custody for seven days till July 16. Some one how know law will defend this , even under new law bns section 106 (2) which put on hold for hit and case is punishable upto 10years and fine 10 lakh . So life imprisonment ,death sentence is not possible .

Culpable homicide is when the driver rushes to the police station and surrenders and reports the accident. It is a clear case of murder bcz he fled the spot.

If best public prosecutor would be used then use the services of Harish Salve. If Maharashtra's Shinde govt can give crores to already rich cricketers then let them use some money for the poor also to fight a case with best lawyer in the court and punish the guilty.

The SSR case has become a case study and a sort of example to justify all the hit and run murder cases. Do you mean it is ok then to have leniency in this case as well. SSR was as much a part of bollywood as the others in it and was no saint.
