For ambient recordings, the spaced omnis (Clippy 272) simply sound better to my ears. Additionally, they are significantly more affordable. And for sound effects, I prefer to use a shotgun microphone if needed, although it also works with the Clippys if you place them very close to the sound source to avoid capturing too much ambient noise.
Great sounds!! Question and the BP4025 wind protection. I see you used both the Rycote BBG with Windjammer and a larger blimp with Rycote windjammer. How much more wind protection does the blimp offer? What blimp are you using with what mount? I have the BP4025 with BBG and windjammer but I find that it can't handle wind much greater that 15 kph. I'm looking for options without it costing too much. Rycote claims their Cyclone is better than the Super Blimp, but it's much more expensive. Any thoughts? Thanks!
I mainly use the large blimp to protect the microphone from the weather. It is not better against wind than the small blimp that only covers the head of the microphone. Additionally, the large blimp takes up a lot of space because it's so big. So, for those who are on foot, the small one is really sufficient
@@soundhole5498 thanks. I really appreciate the reply. I was hoping you would say the larger blimp was much better in strong wind, but I was concerned that my expectations were too high. Thanks for telling the truth so I don't spend my money expecting too much.
flawless audio with no noise, not even the wind. Perfect.
Beautiful recordings !!
Leipzig looks and sounds so diverse. I loved listening to these samples. Thank you for sharing.

Great work and lovely ambiances ! Which one would you choose between the BP4025 and the Clippy 272 ?

Not sure the PCM D100 is competitive now.
