I'm liking the side projects vid here lately. Watching the farming is always nice but it's definitely nice to switch it up and do stuff like this. Keep it up
Great episode, really enjoy watching you alter the maps like this :) i think grass on the smaller side of the field like you said would be the cherry on the cake :)
Hey Dag! Big fan. When this map first came out I made a road through the forest strait the sheep farm. It then exits to that gate you zoomed in to at the beginning of the video. Its really nice, and I highly recommend it, but do what you want, I really just wanted to share lol. Keep up the great video's!
Love the map and the new road! Just wish Bulletbill didn't sink full grown trees into the ground to make those shrubs/bushes as they are a pain to remove.
I keep seeing that reply ... I keep realizing : both mods are using identical scripts; therefore, it is literally impossible to lay down two different ground types at the same time. You would just have more grass on the grass lol ... due to the lack of stand-alone functions there is no way around the complexities of laying down two different ground types, but, to work on each type individually and meticulously trying to get it all as best as can be.
Sorry Dagger, not a fan of the road. - The trees will be a big problem to work field 38. Would have better to dot the path with a few of those $7,000 trees; they look natural, and won't get in the way - If straightness was important, you should have took the drone up to at least spot landmarks on either side of the field. Love the series, just a bit more planning :) Trail through the woods is great...almost like a farmer cut a path and avoided the big trees and bumps. Got a proper 2-track out of it!
May I offer a polite rebuttal? Daggerwin almost always does the "headlands" (plural), lol, first. In doing so there will be plenty of room to go up and back once he has cleared all the crops side to side alongside of the road. I think as far as trees it is for the player to decide. I however would agree with the small sized, some medium, and a few large natural looking trees along the path! But it is not my game, so as with multiplayer games I taught myself to refrain from typing "do this" - "do that" ... just let the player decide and hope your team wins! You will eventually see more and learn more, if you watch other players making their own choices, many times things you never even dreamed to think of! Wouldn't it be a surprise if Daggerwin cuts down the mature pines and plants new ones again - a path to income perhaps! : - D
Points well taken. I haven't been one to critique gameplay, but Dagger ask for feedback on the road. 🙂 I've caught myself getting pretty invested in his recent work to create the shortcut through the woods. So, I was looking forward to see how this road would turn out.
Dagger I know you have said in the past u don’t like to edit the map on gaints editor but could u get rid of the weeds in the track also I don’t think the grass will grow on that grass texture as the grass needs to be planted with a drill but apart from that u did a great job as always 👍
Good idea on the road but I believe that you should have just done trees on the side of the road that the grassland will be on as when doing the arable side you might struggle turning at the end of a row
Hey Daggerwin im not sure if anyone has told you or if you have found it yourself but there is another place to store smaller machines in the shed where the big lawn mower is theres a sliding door closest to the cow barn
Is the GPS a mod, cos with my driving ability, I NEED IT!? I’m thinking of splitting one of my field and putting a dirt track through it; this has given me a great idea, so thanks
Daggerwin, I had the same problem with my ground modification rollers. Like mine you have double commands on each. I actually had to completely remove both mods and download the smaller one. I can't find the large roller but I really don't want it as I use only the small one. As long as you have double commands for ground response, you won't be able to remove grass.
I wonder if theres an update that doesn't let this work anymore. I have roller and it just clears the field to grass, even though I select asphalt or anything else. Is this still working for you'll?? Please let me know👍
Not sure if it will work, but you could try a mod on the modhub called Grass Be Gone. It is a placeable object and removes pretty much everything and see if it will remove the "weeds" as they look out of place in the middle of the road/track and your new shed area. Have fun. :)
Daggerwin, most rollers are filled with water to make them heavy, when they are empty, they are really not that heavy at all. that roller must be empty.
lifting the roller with the log grab isn't as daft as you seem to think my neighbor transports his flat roller with a muck grab on his Telehandler however it's only 8ft wide and he emptys the ballast first
@dagger, if you remove the small ground modification mod, it will still work cause of the big one, then you dont have to worry about them interfering with each other
You could have done this with 2 tractors. Putting the big roller on the front of the jcb and the smaller on the back. Then a different tractor could be planting trees. So that you couldn't have to mess around with 2 different gps courses
Sounds good in theory ... but; all the rollers would be laying down grass and no dirt, because you can only perform a single task with all the rollers at the same time. It would have helped if the 'mega roller' was a stand alone and did not share the same properties with all other roller types. To be honest though; I'm not sure the game can even recognize different rollers as they all seem to fall under the scripts of the original one. There's just no way around the complexities when trying to lay down two different ground types.
You're Welcome! If you would like a nice tip on the pc version -- one of my joys with the original ground modification roller is : roll a small gravel path removing the grass, then set it to not remove the grass and put some gravel strips on the sides ... when the grass grows back, it looks like some gravel spilled into the grass creating a most realistic blending of the gravel path and the grass! I absolutely love the immersive effect it creates when I make a gravel path through grassy areas! This can also be done with other ground types; but I would avoid the original dirt path type, because then your path looks out of place with all others. Sometimes for full immersion you have to stay with what's predominate in the game. Often when I look for mods for any game; I look for mods that don't stand out but blend into the original game while enhancing the original game. That is the best way to get full immersion in games! So I do tend to avoid tractors with enhanced lights for example, they don't fit-in with all the others and you do notice subconsciously and it breaks the immersion. I'm all about immersion and sort of "entering into a kind of alternate world of experiences gameplay." When a game becomes a journey type of experience that is when I am enjoying the game the most! One final thing; many make minor complaints about the "not perfect" Daggerwin road ... but nothing is perfect in real-life. Making something absolutely perfect makes it fake; sucks the immersion right of the gaming experience! Don't be afraid to be imperfect. You'll realize that when you make things imperfectly in the game - they just blend right into the scenery, like they were meant to be there! Building your own immersive atmosphere is an art! When you finally realize that "perfection" is "imperfection!" Daggerwin's road came out "perfect" because it looks like an actual farmer put in a road in the real world, which always turns out "imperfect" no matter how many times you measure first, lol So, as you play Farming Simulator, don't be afraid to make mistakes, and maybe even re-plow those perfectly square fields to have more imperfections to them - then you will start to really enjoy an immersive experience with the games! : - )
Oh, I see! I think I might enjoy farming in real life myself, the fresh air, the exercise, the hard work!! As it is I am a disabled Military Veteran; I'm happy there are video games for things I cannot do anymore. I hope that you enjoy all your hard farm work; remember that everybody grows old, one day you won't be able to do all that work - then life can get a little or a lot boring, lol. I would like to "wish" you well in all your farm work! : - )
Daggerwin, why not just create the road AROUND the field instead of going straight through it and spliting it up and knock down a few trees? Sounds a better option to me
hey Daggerwin just want to say great videos really good job and if yo like american maps check out OGF USA MAP 2018 V3.0 that is also awsome i play both that and lone oak farm and i love both maps but keep up the good work
Daggerwin it's not that much harder to do the same IRL, in fact you only need a roller to make a basic pass through a field and if you want something more "elaborate" you can have trucks dumping gravel or other stuff, then level it with a dozer and compact it with a roller at the end, it would not take more than a day
I'm liking the side projects vid here lately. Watching the farming is always nice but it's definitely nice to switch it up and do stuff like this. Keep it up
Dagger i think the new road is nice, but you should extend it all the way out to the barn.
It goes to goes to the barn
You did an excellent job on the road. I love the trees and grass. Great job.
Don't you just hate the fact that there's no way to remove those bushes or weeds? I know it bothers me.
Scott Navarro hopefully that’s fixed in fs19
Giants editor if you care to go that far works.
You could find weed killer mods
Scott Navarro .
Great episode, really enjoy watching you alter the maps like this :) i think grass on the smaller side of the field like you said would be the cherry on the cake :)
Nice road .Best youtuber of Farming Simulator 17,maybe even FS 19.
I love the road and the trees through the field making an amazing new road
For some reason this map seems to suit your play style and am enjoying this series a lot. Keep up the good work.
Lovely, It looks good. Thanks for another great video. You did a good job. And please do 50 episodes.(I liked the video)👍
I do landscaping for a living so I really like this video!
Hey Dag! Big fan. When this map first came out I made a road through the forest strait the sheep farm. It then exits to that gate you zoomed in to at the beginning of the video. Its really nice, and I highly recommend it, but do what you want, I really just wanted to share lol. Keep up the great video's!
Straight to the sheep farm from the main farm lol forgot that part
Cool new road. Remember to do the sheep palettes
Good idea to put in the road. In the USA they allow more room along the road. The road needs to be wider.
Daggerwin I’m just curious, but how Many Lone Oak Farm episodes Are you planning to Do? 🤗😊🤗
PokeMaster Jade1 i hope more than 50
I personally think this is the best map so far.
Bryce Bishop believe me I love this map too but Imagine him doing 2 or 3 other Maps at a certain time of Day?
Yeah. Would be cool but I'm sure he has a personal life. :)
Bryce Bishop yeah i Think so too 😊
Like it. Could be called Dagger lane maybe.
The new road is awesome! 👍
I appreciate your creativity, Dagger. You always make me reconsider how to play the game. :)
Hey daggerwin I really like this map and I am glad that you are playing on it.
It would be good if you put a small area of grass on the arable field, for area to turn around on. Great video as always. 👍
Make the field a grass field it will blend in and more for cows and sheep
Very nice work Daggerwin👍👍👍👍👍😀😀😀
Awesome work on lone lake farm daggerwin
this road looks amazing good job daggerwin
You do amazing videos and I love watching them all the time.
Great video mate I love your videos got to be one of the best UA-camr s that makes videos for fs17 keep it up
And I just can't wait for farming simulator 19 😎
What s up in New to the channel and awesome pathway 😎
Looks awesome Daggerwin. Keep up the good work
Love the map and the new road! Just wish Bulletbill didn't sink full grown trees into the ground to make those shrubs/bushes as they are a pain to remove.
Hi Daggerwin, nice job but you could have use follow me on the second tractor and roller.. Great videos all the time tho :D
I keep seeing that reply ... I keep realizing : both mods are using identical scripts; therefore, it is literally impossible to lay down two different ground types at the same time. Love that road amazing work
And that’s what we call a nice thumbnail!!
I think what you did is beautiful
Nice use of the triple roller, I'd probably have stuck the dirt track roller on follow-me.
Love the road love the channel love your videos thanks for hard work that you do
I would turn the area on the north end of 38 into an orchard to generate some extra money. Perfect spot for it and plenty of area.
Love the new track dagger ,keep up the good work
Ah Lone Oak and the usual 72 point turn to pick up your new purchase from the shop 😂😂😂😂
Great video... You could just copy gps course from jcb then they follow same course...
Hi daggerwin. When’s the next ets2 episode you have kinda neglected that series. Nice video keep up the good vids 👍
I like the road 👍👍👍👍
New Lane is great should extend it to the barn area.
Is it wide enough for your combines?
Hannah I love that. My son is Called Joshua Allan showed him 5is video and he dabbed before carrying on smashing fortnight lol
Use the little bit for potatoes
Sorry Dagger, not a fan of the road.

Not too shabby 😉
You can get riled of the weeds with the Chan saw
Which mods did you use? Thanks

Daggerwin i think you should widen the road in the field so in about matches the width in the forest
you should keep it as a crop field, would look nice having crops on both sides, and not just a grass field on one

It looks good but you have to take it all the way to the gates at the farm
there is the shopping cart putton in gps that you can use to copy courses from other tractors. Just drive next to them and shop it.
Great episode. Good work
Is there a mod for the rollor in ps4 to change the landscape?
Daggerwin, most rollers are filled with water to make them heavy, when they are empty, they are really not that heavy at all.
that roller must be empty.
I wonder if you could have used a header trailer to carry that long roller?
What mod gives you the information in the upper left hand corner?
should plant apple trees on the small piece of field like an orchard
Is there any way that I can do this on the Xbox?
Hey daggerwin, how do you get that vehicle info in the top right of the screen.
lifting the roller with the log grab isn't as daft as you seem to think my neighbor transports his flat roller with a muck grab on his Telehandler however it's only 8ft wide and he emptys the ballast first
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Daggerwin, where can I find the gps mod? Thanks in advance!
@dagger, if you remove the small ground modification mod, it will still work cause of the big one, then you dont have to worry about them interfering with each other
Which John deere is that
it will be an avenue (A road or path lined with trees on both sides)...
Isnt there a more realistic roller on modhub?
What is that big roller called?
You should do a road in the grass field to
Hey dagger, how come you get all the gps on pc but Xbox do not

You're going to hate yourself when you have to drive big machinery on that tiny little path with trees on both sides.
Will the trees not block you when you hire a worker to sow the field and they get to the end and get blocked by a tree
What is the JD headder mod?
Road is nice but imo it could be wider
You should have put the small roller on the back of the jcb

hey Daggerwin just want to say great videos really good job and if yo like american maps check out OGF USA MAP 2018 V3.0 that is also awsome i play both that and lone oak farm and i love both maps but keep up the good work

Will you do a uk tour
I was wondering why you didnt put both rollers on the JCB.
The project ur making is so interesting sucks we can’t do that on console
Because every farmer needs more trees to dodge in their paddocks......
In gps you can hit the shopping cart button by the new button and it downloads the course from nearby tractors
Dagger, could you have a look at the stappenbach map? It seems really interesting
How did you get John Deere tractors what mod is that or is it just on pc ??
I play FS17 on PS4. I love that there's mod support on the platform but wish the ground mod stuff worked. I hate having to put a shed up on grass
Can plough it, then cultivate...bit better.
love what you did!
how can you clear rubbish and scrap around the farm??
