@thebasement7330 A few years ago he was asked by Sheikh Omar El Banna of Sydney to leave his job & be a full-time da'ee at Masjid Al Noor, Sydney. Hoblos & others found out El Banna had taken loans out against the mosque without permission of the shura group. When confronted El Banna called the police & had Hoblos & the shura group locked out of the mosque. It was a scandal, & yes, Hoblos was right to confront his duplicity. From what I know Hoblos went back to work as a tradesman / business owner & doesn't do a lot of public engagements anymore. Got this from an Australian brother
