Casper Ruud is underrated in so many ways-and one of them is on his serve! Here are 5 technical tips that you can try to incorporate into your serve to help you out. But remember! Simply watching this video doesn't mean that you've done the necessary reps to make lasting changes to your strokes. That's because your strokes are motor programs and we are not computers whose software can be updated in an instant! For that, you need a different process.

His serve is quite uncommon because of the low toss. He hit the ball at the peak of the toss, the ball has not even begin to drop. On your video the ball has drop a little, but I've seen other slow motion video where he hit the ball at the peak. That makes him hard to read by the other players, and give him a more fast serve (considering he is 6'0 tall)... but really a not forgiven motion for him, he doesn't have much time/space and it's more risky. But when it works it really works !🔥He actually change his serve motion for the beginning of 2024. The video at the left of the screen is from beginning of 2023 and the video at the right of the screen is begining of 2024 (he did talk in United Cup about the change in his serve). He has never toss the ball high but even less high since begining of 2024 and since now it did gives good results. Nice video BTW !

Hi, thank you so much for the kind words. And yes, will do! Remember, to make lasting changes in your stroke it will take 8 to 12 weeks or so! Pick one of these tips and work away at it for that period of time. Good luck!

Yes it is a throwing motion! Dead on. NO #$%ing way is it a shot put motion. that is complete nonsense. Good point. I really like your channel... It is excellent.

I like your channel as it helps my game. One thing I like to point out is the low toss like Rudd is really difficult for amateurs. If you watch his slow motion carefully, you’ll find he starts leg drive while ball is still ascending. Not even many pros do that.

Hi, thank you for the comment. Agreed re tossing and hitting at the peak. Coordinating the body that quickly will take a lot of reps and it is difficult for most amateur/rec players.
