Sister Friede and Gael easily my favorite bosses in entire series. Damn I struggled for so long with Gael, Sister Friede wasn't too hard for some reason to me but damn it was an epic fight. These vidz are amazing man great stuff!
for me it was the opposites ive only killed her 2 times but i killed every other boss every time i do a playthrough same with midir lol also man i wished i was play at all this week cuz all i do is just play the game and wait to be spawned in as a boss its my favorite thing to do i have my whole build for it and i try and make it entertaining but also unforgiving boss fight i take pride in my boss build i even have a second phase lol but tbh most of the time im fighting 3 people at the same time
I have 6 S-tier bosses for whole game: Gael, Sister Friede, NK, Lothric princes and Dragonslayer Armor. I agree that Dragonslayer Armor was one of the most fair and fun fight. He is high A tier if not S-tier imo
I have never played ds3 before, though I've watched a lot of videos of it, but seeing you put dragonslayer armor at S made me happy. Something about him is just so good you can't help but at least enjoy that fight.
17:26 Btw for anyone who's still struggling to go against Midir or goes against him. DO NOT go for his tail, his downward fire breath reaches further back than it does in front of him. It's meant to punish players who hide under him plus the fact that his head takes double damage. Lock off and stay in front of him. That way you can clearly see and dodge his attacks, then go for the head punish as his punish windows are actually quite long. He was intended to be fought head on and if you fight him that way he's really not as difficult as people might initially think.
I (and many others I bet) discovered your channel kinda by chance and it's rare that youtube recommendation do good but they did EXCELLENT recommanding me your channel ! Hidden gem if i've ever seen one! Keep up the good content man can't wait to see you play sekiro !
8:04 I like to think that the Painter had heard an old legend of Artorius and His noble companion Sif and she decided to put them into her painting, maybe even the next one too. Food for thought.
Literally the same feeling with the Dragonslayer armour... it felt... kinda good, like a "this shall be a glorious fight: die well!" (minus the 2nd phase buttleflies gank but heh).
GOATED! IM GLAD YOU FINISHED, BEST THING TO COME HOME FROM SCHOOL TO! i’m excited for whatever souls you play next, i absolutely love these vids! excited to see what you’ll branch out to after souls.
Soul of Cinder is such a cool boss. During phase 1, hes a Dex build, a magic build, a strength build, using the builds of every previous person who linked the flame. Then during phase 2 he becomes "Gwynn Lord of Cinder" the first to linked the flame. Hes got the same moves and everything, and because hes at the peak of his power, you cant parry him like you could in Darksouls 1. Also "Plin Plin Plon"
I fudging love your content man and as of late you’ve become one of my favorite creators on youtube. I’m excited for whatever you make in the future, keep up the great work!😎👍 p.s. this vid was hilarious, I laughed so hard at the cowboy bit
I screamed when you tried to shut off the Soul of Cinder music. It's so good. It switches to a remix of Gwyn's theme and his moveset becomes Gwyn's in second phase, it hits so hard.
@CappaTron oh, I thought you turned it down LOL. Man, it's such a perfect final boss for the trilogy, 4 real. Here you are: at the end of the world, fighting all who came before you, including the man that started it all. Powerful.
@@CappaTron also yea do what you said to do in your video. Horrible tier list, Gael should have had a tier list way above every single boss. L video, L channel, take this L. DS1 is the best, I am an Elitist. Just dodge the boss moves obviously. Game is super easy, blah blah blah, if you cant tell im joking, blah blah blah.
@8:48 Yeah there's actually a story behind why the angels are such a non-issue for the most part now, Fromsoft actually neutered them because there were so many troglodytes that just fundamentally couldn't get past them, because the playerbase was presented with a problem they couldn't R1/Roll spam or heal through the damage to get past, a lot of players gave up before they even made it to the first boss of the DLC. So the fire-rate, accuracy and damage of the angels who are the backbone of one of the most interesting set pieces in the DLC was forever ruined because people couldn't figure out you're supposed to run from cover to cover while you look for the angels core to kill it. The angels don't even respawn once you kill the core either so once you know where they are they're a complete non-issue anyway, and the fact the angels were ruined while the significantly worse designed Judicator giants (which DO respawn) were left completely untouched is proof to me Fromsoft compromised their original vision and balance to appeal to the lowest common denominator of players that likely didn't even make it to the Ringed city anyways. So yeah, the dreg heap which was one of the most oppressive areas in a dark souls game was forever neutered a few weeks after launch imo, look up some footage of the prepatch angels though it was hilarious.
Your comment reminds me of the commonly-touted Sekiro completion rate. So many people complain SS Isshin is too difficult. When in actuality, he's just a culmination of everything you've learned wrapped up in one amazing duel. He's hard. I won't deny that. But giving up at the end like that is just pathetic.
I love you're small gem of a channel man absolute diamond in the rough hope you blow up like crazy soon man, editing style and everything are on point, keep it up :)
It's weird to me that you did not mention the Gwyn music or moveset in the video seeing that you've also played the first game. Usually people get hyped for it in the second phase. Also really nice video!
@@CappaTron some of it, the jumping slash toward the player was a dead giveaway for me. but the combo that got you flying in the air was obviously not on the og gwyn lol.
Deacons of the deep aren't very strong boss and the fight isn't too challenging, but IMO they have one of the best vibe in whole game. I remember my first time when I entered the fog and I was expecting some enormous giant deacon or big worm like those next to Rosaria's bed chamber but instead of this I got a legion of undead deacons just walking towards me in acompaninament of great cathedral organ music. I still love this vibe much more than most of the bosses.
Another great video dude 🫡 keep it up, and my first dark souls was ds3 and dude everything about it it was great and seeing more videos like yours makes it better 👍🏽
Hey man I would love to see you play through bloodborne sekiro and elden ring they all have the same dna but offer a brand new experience at the same time. Love the vids man keep them uo
I find every boss ranking agreeable, but one. My man put Champion Gundyr in B tier? Nah, fam. Based moveset, aggressive, parryable, high damage, basically the "let me stop holding back" version of the tutorial boss, Based armor, BASED weapon. What's there not to love? Other than that, the one I personally agree with the most, is Dragonslayer Armour. Well, others as well, but I'm personally mad about how often people just don't care about this fight. It's cool as hell, you can get the armor in the DLC for a full cosplay, it's, like you said, hard but very fair and just when you get comfy, the Angels in the sky controlling the armor start shooting lasers at the arena.
@@CappaTron yeah, there's on average very few bosses I don't think are awesome in some way, shape or form. I even think the Curse-rotted Greatwood is kidna cool, from a lore perspective, plus the lore implications of the weapons you get from it's soul. The fight does suck, tho.
@@CappaTronNot to invalidate your experience, but I think the reason you found the boss to be just okay was partially because you were super overleveled fighting him. Most people do him right after Oceiros which most people do after Dancer but you basically saved him for way later where you had a lot of vigor and also very hard hitting weapons. I feel like he’s a very fun and aggressive fight but he’s also very fair, I just think his moveset doesn’t shine when you breeze through him.
You know what is worse? The second faze is different depending on which one you kill first. Even the boss soul has a different description for both of them.
hey bro, really enjoyin your content, binged all the videos. It would be nice if you show a bit more, make longer / more video - can't get enough of your content :)
