well, last 2 weeks it rained more than the 2,5 months before, 80mm. But our riverclay grounds still hold very well. Contractors in our area aren't struggling with getting the cornsilage from the land. We still have 20 horses in the fields (although they should be coming in this weekend). If there will be a couple of days of dry weather, we might even do a last cut of haylage/silagebales. All in all.. after a dry 2nd half of summer, it's not too bad over here..
In the County I grew up in - in northern Michigan - called Presque Isle, there are a number of AMISH and they do live and work like they did in their original encounter with America. there are a lot of AMISH in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, etc. You would enjoy their simplicity. You should experience this way of life. Welcome to America.
Drought in Australia is new south Wales and Queensland but I'm in new south whale's it's and i get up every day for at 4 am and start feeding all of our cattle
Olly your so lucky because up north we have thick clay soil and every time it rains our fields get flooded the other day I got our loadhall suck moving some bales and it sunk so much I just gave up and went straight for our combine to pull it out our combined is a claas Lexion 780tt with the monster livery.
out here in the Netherlands i hope it stops raining... its getting a little bit to wet now, especially on the clay grounds i live on. cows also comming in soon(ish) if it keeps raining
It’s a shame your so far from Aberystwyth, Mid-West Wales. On our farm, we have an old Massey 135 that my family restored a year ago and it now runs smoothly
Oli lad it woulda been far hardier if you'd had the 69 sitting facing down towards your calfing house rather than having it blocking your dunkal and stopping you getting good bucketfulls
Hi olly, I know I'm a small channel compared to some but I would be interested in hearing more about the 135! If you are up for it just shoot me a message. I'm. Based just north of Doncaster.
To save time when he is actually spreading, if he would spread it right away he would have to get the manure spreader back to the farm, fill it and take it back
Back in the day when my family had a dairy farm we spread it right away. only time we stocked piled it was when we couldn't get to fields because of weather .
Ronald Corbin well on our farm we muck twice a year once in the winter and once when the cows go out and muck can sit in a field for maybe a year before we spread it and if it’s on stubble from crops we just spread whenever as long as it’s not pouring rain
Hope you enjoyed today’s video guys! What’s the weather doing where you are?
rainy in the Netherlands 😑😑🤨
Olly’s Farm how much horse power does the old beast have
43HP! Some might of escaped over the years but she feels lively!
Im live in the netherlands and im dutch and the weather here is teribble its raining and storming

Amish country is pretty cool! Ohio, and Pennsylvania are the hubs of that community.
In north Queensland Australia it is really hot and dry but we just got some rain raising the humidity but we are still harvesting sugar cane
Olly u should do a tractor run with the 135 or international some time

These jcb telly handlers are the way to go for tight yards
Olly your so lucky because up north we have thick clay soil and every time it rains our fields get flooded the other day I got our loadhall suck moving some bales and it sunk so much I just gave up and went straight for our combine to pull it out our combined is a claas Lexion 780tt with the monster livery.
Phoenix, Arizona, sunny, 89'. ☀️👍🇺🇸
Good work
Hi olly, how many tonnes of muck do you think you spread over the farm each season?
lets get olly to 100k subs guys
Olly if you were closer to Northamptonshire I have just the contacts to get it looking better than new !!
What scraper do you use?
I think you should do some longer videos
Why don’t you use the telehandler for scraping up? Or do you just have that spare so you just use that?
A telehandler can be a bit big for some sheds that’s y a scraper tractor is handy
Darragh Gilmore Oh okay makes sense, cheers!
Daggerwin here is another UA-camr

Hi Olly my uncle john fixed up the tractor in Ireland
There was a little bit of rain yesterday
We have a sandy yard can be a good job when wet
if you invested in a pull scraper you would get a lot more out of those calfing pens
It’s a shame your so far from Aberystwyth, Mid-West Wales. On our farm, we have an old Massey 135 that my family restored a year ago and it now runs smoothly

Hi olly, I know I'm a small channel compared to some but I would be interested in hearing more about the 135! If you are up for it just shoot me a message. I'm. Based just north of Doncaster.
I need one
ya I know
call "machinery restorer" yt
Why Don't you spread right away instead of dumping it , and then redoing it later ?
To save time when he is actually spreading, if he would spread it right away he would have to get the manure spreader back to the farm, fill it and take it back
Ronald Corbin and plus it’s gives you a better buffer for when spreading cause if you do it straight out the shed you have to spread it now and then
Back in the day when my family had a dairy farm we spread it right away. only time we stocked piled it was when we couldn't get to fields because of weather .
Ronald Corbin well on our farm we muck twice a year once in the winter and once when the cows go out and muck can sit in a field for maybe a year before we spread it and if it’s on stubble from crops we just spread whenever as long as it’s not pouring rain
