What an amazing memory you have preserved. I have only seen bits and pieces of the LA area and I did enjoy getting to see these areas before the fire. All of my life I wish I had been able to live where I had a view of the ocean. I just can't believe you had the idea to catch all of this just days before the fires. WOW. One of the most beautiful places in the US and that I've seen in general. Despite this tragedy, I still may be moving out to LA soon. I would love it, as I love its topography. I love dense, green boreal/European forests and so on, but I think SoCal is one of the most beautiful places on earth, no doubt. I love the quality of your videos as well. Your setup makes life actually look beautiful through a lens.
Thank you for this video. I visited LA a few years ago and was at many of the locations in person. I would also watch video of the PCH and take a relaxing virtual drive along the Pacific Coast Highway from Santa Monica to northern Malibu planning a trip later this year to visit places I didn't get to see such as Carbon Beach and Palisades Village, both of which were destroyed in the fires. The fires were devastating to see live on TV and heartbreaking that the beautiful community of the Palisades, historic Altadena (an area with landmarked Victorian homes over 100 years old) and an iconic 6 mile stretch of the PCH in Southern Malibu are now gone forever.

Appreciate this documentation, the fires destroyed some of my favourite areas of SoCal, so sad. Just thankful I live down near SD though our fire risk is also there too.
You damn right it is! I don’t understand why the citizens who lost so much aren’t enraged and demanding the immediate removal of their good for nothing mayor and governor for this! And held criminally responsible and accountable. People not only lost a lot of $$$ but people died as a direct result of their agenda. If my work in healthcare resulted in some huge financial loss or loss of life I don’t think I’d get off Scot free or even expect to! And you know we did not run out of water, we ran out of pressure. Look at Eaton, they had the same tragic result and no missing reservoir
@@gladlock You're right. Not controlled fires where the houses are, but just outside the house regions directly where the massive brush areas are. This is actually one of the best things to do, brush clearance. The issue is, these filthy hippies who live here did so much LSD in the 60s, their brains got fried and they don't understand the concept of clearing their property from 50 years of dried trees and shrubs. This is very common out here. The LAFD sends letters and fines people, but that's it. They don't get tough enough on clearing shrubs and dried trees. Its so sad to see so much beautiful buildings, culture, history and memories go up in flames. I dont know how it will look after the rebuild, but im very sad that NO ONE can experience a walk or a drive thru those neighborhood EVER AGAIN with the stuff seen on this video. makes me really heartbroken tbh.
I dont know why but since I was a kid Ive always felt a very strong emotional attachment to the USA, especially the west coast. I visited USA in August last year for the first time and at age 41 I was in awe seeing all those beautiful landscapes and a few cities. I did have a chance to see LA from the hill where the Griffiph observatory is located and thanks to a huge traffic on the highway due to an accident my GPS told me to drive through the city and enter the highway much further than I planned (which I didnt want to do because LA was just a short stop in my itinerary). So I was able to see the city from the inside so to speak. I didnt drive through the neighborhoods in the videos but I'm glad I visited and saw the pre-fire LA. I dont know how many years it will take to rebuild those areas and whether it will all be equally beautiful , I hope so, but I feel really sad that it is all gone now. If I had a job and skills that would be useful there, I would come over and help but Im just a normal guy with a mundane 9-5 job. I wish you all the best in these tough times; tragedies make people discover their best in them and so will be the case here, Im sure about that.
Honestly, I think I know what you feel. I as well feel very attracted to the US culture, traditions, etc. But, and this is a huge but. I've been to LA and US numerous times and I just can't shake the feeling of a nation of fake people. Every time I'm there I'm being reminded of the non-genuineness of people. I'd like to have a best friend from the US and see the comparison. I don't know where you're from, but I hope you're doing well. Best.
Strange occurrence. I paused this video at 1:37:51 minutes. You can just see the peaked roof of a small home on the right. There's NO notation what street the driver is on. An hour later, I looked up homes for sale in Pacific Palisades and (being me) I checked old ones first and fell in love with 641 Swarthmore Avenue, a sweet little 1929 cottage. Then I went to the ARCGIS Palisades Fire Map and looked up the house. It was gone, burned to the ground. I went back to THIS video and suddenly realized that where I paused, an hour earlier, was EXACTLY at that house's location, 641 Swarthmore Ave. It's the little ivy-covered peaked roof on the right. WHAT ARE THE ODDS. WTF.

@@Relaxing.Scenes.Driving you said yourself it was hours after it started. Many firefighters have stated they could have had a fire engine on each house but with those winds there was no stopping that firestorm. Also the shear demand of water usage depleted the sources so that many hours later they had little left, and the winds were too high for air drops. It doesnt have to be a political thing, wildfires have happened on this planet since its start.

*I appreciated the tour very much. I've taken the same leisure cruise over the last 55 years since I moved from the OC. Born in Long Beach, raised in the OC, enjoyed a successful career in LaLaLand, and am now retired. Heartbreaking is an understatement. Lake Shrine survived... says a lot about keeping our spirituality in check! ~ And lastly, the Democrat leadership of our fine State has flipped our State Red because of the ineptness of our elected overseers.*
If there is a god, and he/she has power and control over everything like most religious people believe, do you not think that it was indeed god that made the fires in the first?. People with faith always say that everything happens for a reason. Just a thought for you.
An oasis of peace and tranquility, gone, just like that. The fifth largest economy in the world, located in an area prone to wildfires, does not have a prevention and mitigation strategy to combat them. I find it very hard to believe. I guess only time will tell, qui vivra verra.
There is no way I can even afford a place in this area, but my heart aches when I see the loss these people have suffered. This did not have to happen. Greed and neglect of the needs of the taxpayers by our politicians made these fires worse than they should have been.
the fire in Eaton was literally just as tragic. What is the difference? Do you see these endless crispy hills? Burning all that would cause erosion that would take out homes too. Not to mention kill all the wildlife
It's very sad seeing the homes and streets have been devastated in the Pacific Palisades area. As I was watching I kept thinking, this looks so much like some of the richer suburbs here in Adelaide, South Australia - the eastern suburbs like Burnside, Leabrook, Kensington. The only difference is the name on the banks in the shopping district. The road signs are the same and houses are built similarly. We don't have the palm trees all over the place, but still, very very similar. Of course they have the same weather as us - we are the driest state in Australia and right now going through a heatwave, which of course California knows all about too. I am sorry for the pain and suffering that the cabal put on these people just so the could buy the land up cheaply for their sick plans to build a smart city there. Not going to happen.
Secret Service blockade usually means either President Biden, Vice President Harris or immediate family members were hosting/attending a New Years party in Brentwood with rich/celebrity friends.
I believe this a blessing in disguise, the word says the rich man had to let go of his physical possessions to enter the kingdom of God. Jesus paved the way for us. Gods chastises those he loves 💕 Sending prayers to those effected
Either Biden, Harris, Trump, JD Vance went to a New Years party hosted by one of their rich/celebrity friends not on their official schedule. I doubt it was Trump though because even things not on his official schedule were covered by media. Given it was California, its more likely Biden, Hunter, Or Harris.
My comment was deleted too Charlotte T…. Probably because I asked awkward questions about the fire & the policies of the council and why the overall populace didn’t twig that something was sinister when the insurers bailed out of these areas that’s an immediate RED FLAG.. enough to pack your bags and get the hell out
if you take a look at the hills, they are crispy. People expect the governor to do controlled fires regularly on those hills, but what that does is create massive erosion. We can’t afford to create more erosion, the Palos Verdes Peninsula is literally falling into the ocean.
Haha don’t want the pooors looking at your house. While middle class people are proud of their houses and want people to see how well kept their yards are.
How did you know to film before the fire? What compelled you to create this? Were you hoping to generate revenue off the losses in this community due to prior knowledge?
If you look at the videos in channel I film everywhere in Los Angeles specifically in this area along the coast often. I filmed this video on January 1. The original title was just going to be my usual "Richest neighborhoods of Los Angeles" I refrained from posting any Pacific Palisades videos until no one was in danger and the fires were completely put out. If i was just hoping to generate revenue I would have posted all the videos including footage I have of the actual fires when those sort of videos were going viral the first days of the fire and people were getting 2m-10m views. I was being sensitive to the victims. Not trying to exploit a tragedy. Now that the fires are over weeks later, I'm just sharing for historical purposes one of the last videos of what it use to look like for the world to see. There is nothing more to it.

Inept or perhaps intentional..
wheres the biggest exclusive houses in these areas? i find it interesting
All those huge scrubs and bushes. That's cant ever come back. It can never be as lush as before. Thoughts?
Did the downtown area burn down too?
The only fair thing to do is to recover the magic. Building 20 story buildings with a thousand cubicles will be a crime.
god please use the rain to help save southern california
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers Micheal. Have a relaxing day 👍🏼
If there is a god, and he/she has power and control over everything like most religious people believe, do you not think that it was indeed god that made the fires in the first?. People with faith always say that everything happens for a reason. Just a thought for you.
you too
It’s rainy this week in la
you're welcome walter
An oasis of peace and tranquility, gone, just like that. The fifth largest economy in the world, located in an area prone to wildfires, does not have a prevention and mitigation strategy to combat them. I find it very hard to believe. I guess only time will tell, qui vivra verra.
because the rain will help southern california at ktla 5 news weather forecast up to the minute
Not going to happen.
so sad :(
It is so sad. Thanks for watching!
Why were some of the roads blocked off
Secret Service blockade usually means either President Biden, Vice President Harris or immediate family members were hosting/attending a New Years party in Brentwood with rich/celebrity friends.
Lol A Rest In Peace memorandum for a city.
What a shame. I don’t live there but I’m very disappointed.
Thanks for watching

I do not recall any wildfire around Beverly Hills in the areas in the first pat of the film.
There were no fires in that area. Its just where the fire started. Only the Pacific Palisades section was on fire.
kim possible it said on the wireless before the rain at ktla 5 news
I don't understand what your saying
Why was my comment deleted?i just wanted to know how instinctly you knew to film this whole area before all this happened
RIP, hope they deport the perpetrators!
So almost all the houses are burned down now? Horrible.
Beautiful area just destroyed 😢
So sad. Thanks for watching!
I believe this a blessing in disguise, the word says the rich man had to let go of his physical possessions to enter the kingdom of God. Jesus paved the way for us. Gods chastises those he loves 💕 Sending prayers to those effected
New California Republic must be free!
How do you get secret service security at a new years eve party someone tell me in comments .
Could’nt you get a drone?
Proč nejde vše přeložit do češtiny?

Why was my comment deleted?
My comment was deleted too Charlotte
T…. Probably because I asked awkward questions about the fire & the policies of the council and why the overall populace didn’t twig that something was sinister when the insurers bailed out of these areas
that’s an immediate RED FLAG.. enough to pack your bags and get the hell out
Beautiful place but the host girl said it's the godless town. So sad
This was not a forest fire… 🔥 It was way too big and vast for an oops!
i was saying god will help save southern california so you're welcome
Those who burned this beautiful place down will answer to God for it.
if you take a look at the hills, they are crispy. People expect the governor to do controlled fires regularly on those hills, but what that does is create massive erosion. We can’t afford to create more erosion, the Palos Verdes Peninsula is literally falling into the ocean.
You can certainly tell the rich of the rich live in Bel Air all you see is privacy hedges.
🥺🥺💔👍
