The openning was so promising and the concept was interesting, what with Jack losing his sword but the show went straight downhill as soon as he got it back. The romance was pretty forced and the ending...could have been much better done. Like, yeah, it was his mission to go back to the past, but the ending basically erased everything in the series...like everything cool that happened, all the characters you grew to love, all the struggles all the triumph, bam, never happened. All gone. Which also creates a time paradox and doesn't make sense and blegh. Could have been better done. There's also an argument to be made about character growth. Jack's been in the future for over 50 years. More than double the time he spent in the past. The future is his home now, it's what he knows, it's where he belongs, it's where his friends are. Like, just spitballing here, what if instead of dipping out of the climatic final battle with aku out of nowhere because of deus ex machina, jack actually wins there, and then goes back (so right off the bat we're not blue balled on that fight), and then instead of going back to where he was first sent back, he instead goes back to when aku first attacked when he was a kid. He frees his dad and now you have 2 magic swords and a big father and son showdown against past aku. They win there, now jack's not only stopped aku from taking over the world in this timeline, but he's also saved his family, and his village from the 20 or so years of aku rule while he was training. So great, this timeline is now saved, we can then have multiverse theory going on, jack goes back to the future, lives life as basically a king, he has the knowledge that he's now not only saved this timeline, but another one too. I dunno, in spitballing. Give a triumpjant ending to the series instead of erasing everything and making jack sad over losing his waifu that he knew for a week.
Ah yes an anime that actually has a dub that is arguably better than the sub. Seriously they got some top tier talent for this show with a few examples being rias as panty and Frieza as the main male villain which is just hilarious to me.

I'm revisiting a lot of my favorite cover artists and I found this gem. This is legitatemly one of my favorite anime songs of all times. It's such a genre switch from all the other songs in the album, it feels raw and emotional unlike the other more boisterous songs in the soundtrack. Hearing you guys rearrange this is a dream come true!

I mean I'm not sure about Lollia, but AmaLee has a contract with Funimation now Crunchyroll for voice acting. And she is now working on an original album though it will take some time it seems. As for why her voice is not used to dub OPs and/or EDs, well studios have stopped doing that since dubbing songs is rather difficult since the lip-sync needs to work, but it also needs to rhyme while preserving artistic integrity. And all for most viewers switching to the original subbed version anyway
