I've owned a Kawasaki w650 for about 3 years now and let me tell you that who ever ends up buying this bike sure got some awesome miles ahead. You get the awesome British look and sound without the vibrations and breakdowns. ;)

I like how Kawasaki replicates vintage Bikes! I have a 1999 Drifter 1500 and love it. Always wanted a Triump 650 back when I was a Kid. Kawasaki made it much better!

The early Kawasaki 650 twins were a replica of the bsa a10

Were made under licence, perhaps Edward Turner did acknowledge that the Japanese involved the A10 remarkably.

Easily one of the best looking bikes made in the last 40 years!

Kawasaki w650 owner here. IT is a really easy bike to ride. Perfect for first bike or to offer to your lady. It is really a docile bike, that bites when you rev it. :) In love with it.

Is it good for short riders like 5'3 person?

    •  3 роки тому

@@totalrise1811 If my conversion rates are OK I am 5'7 (174cm) and ride it with both feet on the ground when stopped. It's a heavy motorcycle when stopped, but it is all a matter of getting used to it. The original suspension is on the plush side, so it also helps.

Is it a reliable bike? I live in Canada and they’re fairly rare here, so I don’t want to get something that I might have to wait months on end for parts for

    •  2 роки тому

@@Spartansrule118 Kawasaki still has all parts available here in Europe, and the w650 shares a load of parts with the still on sale w800. So I would say you are pretty safe...

The Kawasaki W1 was a replica of the BSA A10, not the Triumph Bonneville.

Yep, for sure. But those time triumph and bsa already was one company

@@caferacer3539 But the A10 BSA and the Triumph Bonneville were completely different motorcycles.

A very nice motorcycle! I've owned the same for 3 years. Sit on it and drive. I always have a smile on my face😊😊😊👌🏻
The "bevel driven cramshaft" calls in german "Königswelle". Same like translate "King" (König..) and "shaft" (..welle)😉

The original W or meguro were based on the BSA A10.
People often compare them to the Triumph Bonneville. OHC driven by shafts were used on the Jawa OHC 500 of the late 40's and 50's.
