- A tale of two minelab 8" mono coils, i am going to rebuild one and see how it goes against the factory stock commander coil, i will be adding specifically chosen and placed powedered iron sleeve core and a special electromagnetically invisible shielding to the internal windings to greatly reduce terrestrial noise and improve the signal to noise ratio.

I'm walking proof these are dangerous . I had one catch the back of my forearm, destroyed a NEW shirt! It went about 1/2" deep, and atleast 6" a long my arm. It needed about 2-3 dozen stitches, but I just wrapped it up. With tape. So I was left with a scar about 1/4" wide. I could see things inside my arm I didn't want to see! 😳 And a host of other cuts on my hands over the years!
