Thanks Cindy--I have used your plan with as many close colors as I've got. I appreciate your clear discussion and would love to do a workshop with you.
This is what I've learned and it's stuck - it basically follows the color wheel which is what I use more than a rainbow. You can go with any color order that feels right to you. The goal is to stick to it so you can find your colors. I also like having my Lemon Yellow in that upper right hand slot first slot so it's easy to find - I tend to paint with the palette rotated so the yellow is at the top. Note the blue primary is in a corner too. In my larger palette I have all warms on one side and cools on the other.
A wonderful tutorial, Cindy! I love your colours and explanations. Thank you so much!
Thanks I just posted it today. After a previous video I made, I've gone into more depth with this one.

Hi Cindy, great video! I’m looking for the list of supplies you mentioned. I signed up for your newsletter and look forward to your tips!
Yay, see you online.
How do you label your palette ?
I have a map I provide with my list in my newsletter. You can label on that and actually put it under the clear plastic tray if you wish.
But it isn’t in rainbow order…
Why not rainbow order warm to cool.
