I used to play the 360 demo, just hanging around the city pretending I was in the game. My imagination used to run wild with video game public spaces, thinking of all the people who actually inhabit the world and what their stories are. My mind still fills the empty space with the chatbox sounds.
Dude yes, fellow 360 demo player! I never got the actual game but I played so much of the demo in my high school days! Met some absolutely fantastic people and made a couple irl friends from it. I reminisce about the demo quite often and the memories I made from it.
Hearing this i remember looking for clothes, weapon, changing class at the top floor, choosing whether go to planets or space missions, going back to personal quarter, decorating it gosh so many memories I can't count. I wish I could go back to those days

SEGA is unrivaled when it comes to capturing atmosphere within music. This game and its OST is some of the most nostalgic pieces of art I have listened to and I simply can't get this feeling from anything else. Nothing takes me back to my childhood quite like the Phantasy Star Universe OST.
I can still picture walking around and shopping clothes, weapons, armors, photon arts... :,,))) miss this so muchhh almost cried of nostalgic. Still remember want to go on mission at other planets or just go to SEEDs mission or story mission and choosing which class should I take.

Party chat wasnt around on 360yet, just private chat, so wed all type to each other in game mostly. I remember I plugged an old mac keyboard into the USB port on my xbox 360 and it worked and I could type hella fast haha
Before I actually got the game, I'd play the demo on xbox 360 and I think u could only keep a character for 30 days? Before it gets deleted. But man SO MANY PEOPLE WERE PLAYINF THE DEMO TOO. Peoppe selling porn for meseta, people wanting girlfriends and boyfriends. People teaming up and leveling up on the same levels over and over. I even bought a keyboard just to type faster in game (cuz party chat wasnt a thing yet, just private chats). I literally spent countless hours playing the demo man... like, an unhealthy ammount of time... I truly miss this time in my life, just playing and meeting people. A lot of the fun was making items in your room and having people come into your room and wait with you while the items are being created and just talking.

I love this game so much. I've never played online so much in teh real game. All I cared about really was the soundtracks and how the enviornments to them fit together in perfect harmony. I'm truely in the PSU world when I listen to songs like this and whne I look at the city, I have a totally new feeling sinking inside. I love this feeling and cherish it, that's why I play the game so much. Because PSU generates new feelings and a sense of happiness to me. So I say to SEGA , thank you so much!!
PSU, Phantasy Star Portable/2/Infinity were such good games. Bless Sega for making one of the most memorable MMOs and also somehow one of the best offline MMO experiences (ALSO PORTABLE) at the same time too. Edit: Hah, I see your profile picture the good ol' PSU to FFXIV pipeline got you too huh?
pso2 is 1 small step above those cellphone games that autoplay themselves. its a case study on horrible menu design too, gotta be the worst menu system of all time

I know what you feel and I can say this: It would be very difficult for a producer to match environment X soundtrack X gameplay better than this game in the newer gen RPG games.
The demo on 360 was peak xhox live. So many nights staying up playing, met so many cool people.
