- If you're lucky, working in tech gives you the opportunity to work remotely. That thought alone is enticing, but how many of us have really taken advantage of this liberty? Eddie Jaoude, Open Source DevRel and founder of EddieHub and BioDrop, took the plunge during covid and decided to live as a digital nomad. In this video, you'll get to know more about how Eddie and his wife (his favourite travel partner) first got started, and you'll learn what are the pros and cons of this nomadic lifestyle.
Special thanks to GitNation for allowing us to film this at React Day Berlin!

Love the editing, thank you so much for having me on your UA-cam channel
Thank you for sharing our digital nomad experience!
Maybe I’m a grouch, but as much as I enjoy being a developer, I loathe these ‘developer lifestyle’ influencer types. Who cares if you write code in Bali? Keep it to yourself and just focus on what you want to build.
Lots of hype, though in my exp most nomads settle after a yr or two. And it makes sense, to live temporary, in a life where everything is temporary (location, friends, hype,…).
I work remote and house sit at places around the country.
He got the t-shirt.
Working with a laptop outside sucks, you get tons of distractions and sun glares on your screen. And don't make me start on why using a laptop on the beach is a pain on the butt
“For tax reasons….” 😅
Thanks for gentrifying beautiful regions, tax evasion and creating a hype out of it
