Back in this time she only sang alto with dorinda and when Twinkie would lead dorinda would be the one to drop to tenor or when Karen lead after niecy left she would sing the top harmony as well. Jacky didn’t start mainly switch harmonies till 2002 and she did it once or twice in the 90s but even then dorinda would be the main tenor or they would have j moss or Kayla Parker on tenor.

Deneice is really a key part in that Clark sound. You can tell the difference w/o her. Her voice is very unique when you here her singing by herself. She has that kind of billy holiday to her voice.

I started watching and researching the Clark Sisters about year half ago this clip was one of my favorites they were so talented and pretty like Dr Mattie Moss Clark said in the movie these are my pretty girls.
She sounds so sweet and light. But she has a fierceness in her voice that doesn't edge towards Karen's growls. Even in her ferocity, there's a delicacy.
Lord have mercy Karen Clark Sheard. And to think she was shy. Praise God for delivering her from that because we would have missed out on all the anointing God put in those vocals. And she’s still so humble and meek. Thank God that these women are around during this era.

I just lost my grandmother. She had this vhs and us the reason I love the clark sisters. It sucks because now this music ignites the pain instead of joy. Please God help me get through this grief. I've never felt heartbreak until now

Anytime I hear that music, it takes me back to the good times.

This song touched me tremendously. God has blessed me so greatly I can't keep it to myself. I've gone through so much but I trusted him, named it and claimed it. Just to see what you prayed for answered above and beyond makes the heart so full. These sisters probably had no idea how far reaching into the future this song would be, but I thank them for it.

@@trutenor1 lol lol!!!!!😁👍👍👍👍👍right!!!!!.....because they were definitely not all Sopranos! Karen and denise are sopranos, dorinda sings alto/contralto and jackie and twinkie sings tenor, however Jackie switches back and forth from alto and tenor depending on the song.😃😄😁👍

lol U are so right- I think they are pretty random. ALL of the squeaks are random- and it's just the Lord that takes them and put them in the key (sometimes) lol They crack me up every time too. I always wonder what the sisters thought about her squeaks. I think we love them, squeaks and all lol
