I’m a 49 year old American & usually only listen to Classic Rock, the 80’s-90’s and a little Smooth Jazz. But lately I’ve started to explore music from other countries and I gotta say that this Greek style is downright Amazing. I especially luv these upbeat songs with the long guitar (Bouzouki) solos. Can’t get enough of it & definitely going to be listening to alot more from now on.

I think you have can have very good reasons to take Bouzuki lessons. But people of any nationality, whether they are a proud Greek or not, can enjoy it. Conversely, even if Greece did not have a Bouzuki I am sure you can have many things to be proud of as someone whom, I assume, has Greek roots.

My grandpa took me there for new years. He was greek and knew the owners. I'm afraid these memories will be lost but I sometimes listen to this to remmeber.
When I was in my early 20s there was a restraunt called the Corenthians in Cincinnati, Ohio that played traditional Greek music on the bouzoukis. I am a hard rock guitarist, but this music totally amazes me in every way possible. This video and the players are excellent. Thank you for the ear candy!!! This bouzouki player is so fast and percise. Totally amazing! Wish I could have been there front row. Greetings from America.

He is a master player/teacher of all all stringed instruments(not the violin) Andreas, the son who plays here, is about 30, so he must have been learning and playing for about 20-25 years. I think father and son are as good as each other but there are many other playerrs of the same calibre in Greece where the bouzouki is revered. The bouzouki can speak to a Greek heart without an interpreter and heal a Greek soul bypassing medicines and psychotherapists

Ruben de Groot Greek music has been popular since the 1950th. and still popular today. the Greek singer who brought Greek music to Israel is ARIS SAN.. and he lived in Israel since 1954. i'm not sure how to spell his Greek name, but is very well known. he sadly died .in Romania , he was shot by the Italian mafia where had a night club.
