Omg I love this review. I was confused whether I should get the ESV study bible or the NLT illustrated one. I don't read the ESV I'm more of an NKJV or NLT person but the reviews on the ESV study bible are great. I wanna get it just to fulfill my curiousity as to why it's positive😂
I prefer the NRSV New Oxford Annotated Bible, with Apocrypha, because it is not trying to sell you a religion. I also have the NLT. I love the full color presentation, and it is great fun to explore and browse through it.
On my wish list: Cultural Background and the NLT Study Bible. The most recent Study Bible I bought is the NIV Biblical Theology Study Bible and it doesn’t disappoint.🙂 Packed full of information.💓

Thank you. My personal study system, as of now, is the ESV study Bible and my NASB reference bible. They both go hand in hand for an excellent study and note comparisons. I'm soon getting the NLT life application study bible to complete my study time. I'm coming out of the NKJV because, well it's really a more simplified version of the KJV but it's poetic to much for me to study under it. Do i judge people by their preferred translation? Of course not. That's why there are more simple translations. Plus, as todays language is the" thou's and thee's" really will not attract a new reader. So i appreciate newer translations to attract newer, younger readers to want to learn the word of God. Thank you for your review.

Your channel and the reviews that you provide for us are very good! I have every bible in your video except the NET! I love studying 📖 and reading the word with the various study bibles shown here! Because I am on a budget, I have found most of these bibles on Amazon, EBay, Christian Book, Abe Books, Thriftbooks, etc. I am surprised at some of the prices! It can get very expensive even with the used copies. If the bible is out of print, the price is double or triple the price! Keep up the good work! 😎😇😍🌸🌺🌷🌹💕❤️🩷🩵💜🧡💛💚💗✝️

I really like the fire bible. The articles are very good and the story of why it was written is beautiful. I have the nlt application and fire bible. Otherwise i have moved to 1 book commentaries now
I have all of these (the NLT Illustrated Study Bible I'll be having for Christmas, but in bonded leather), although the Cultural Backgrounds one I have in the NKJV and the Life Application one I have in the KJV. Some of my other favourites that weren't mentioned here are the MacArthur Study Bible, the Lutheran Study Bible (even though I'm not Lutheran, this is a great one with loads of study materials and with prayers throughout, which is a nice touch), The Ancient Faith Study Bible (being into church history, the Church Fathers and their commentaries, this is a must have for anyone who's into that), the Matthew Henry Study Bible (which is a condensed version of Matthew Henry's commentary on the scriptures), the KJV Holman Study Bible, KJV Apologetics Study Bible, amongst others.
@@annacbrown1986I’m not sure how to answer that because it would imply the word “lord” predates Adonai. Adonai is used to replace YHVH because of the seriousness of that representation.

It would have been better if I said "Yes amen you just simply need to seek God for yourself." My statement was meant to be a general statement for everyone and that only by spending time alone in God's word will be how you get to know him. Studying theology, multiple translations, or commentaries doesn't help. I know from experience. The only way is to abide in His Word and in English it is the KJV. I came to know Him by abiding in His word and I found out how to actually obey the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was giving no accusation towards you at all and I apologize if it seemed like I was for that was not my intention or what I was trying to do. I see you believe in the Lord and you're striving to seek him and that is well. And I simply as a man of God must prove all things. May I ask, how did you get saved from your sins?

Sadly the esv study Bible is calvinist and the essay on the Canon is flawed, but it really has amounts of good information.
