The blues you used are really nice…really really nice! I’ve started to use hammermil cardstock recently. It is really smooth and great to work with. Since you can get it easily on Amazon in large packages, it doesn’t break the bank. I’ll stamp images on other cardstock for my granddaughter’s for them to color. One of them happened to get an image stamped on hammermil and gave it back. She didn’t want the one on plastic, but on paper. It just surprised me for a 6yo to recognize the difference between papers.
Thank you for your tips. I need to prep my stamps better when they are new and I like the versamark method the best. I got some Olo markers but haven’t played with them yet so I appreciate your tips on those. I had just been thinking I needed one place for my foam squares so the photo box tip was perfect. Beautiful card and I love the subtle background.
Still undecided what markers to invest in. I like your idea of just start with some choosing them with what you might color most. Thank you. Food for thought. BTW still love to watch your coloring skills. One day I might get there!
Mindy, thanks for the information about alcohol markers. I just started using them! I was so intimidated by the variety, cost, and skill needed; I just decided to get some and play! Thanks too for letting me know that paper can make a big difference too!
Thank you for sharing your tips for the OLO markers. I also love my Copics and recently invested in OLO. The blue combo is gorgeous but then again I know your coloring skills make this so lovely💙💙💙
Beautiful card! I have too many copics to start over with something new but I know what you mean about some tips going bad. I just replaced another one not too long ago.
they great thing is these worked together. Don't have to start over but could always get a group of 2 or 3 that work together. I love the purple selection the OLO' have
Thank you for sharing, Mindy! Love how the card came together. One question. Why did you clean off your greeting stamp before restamping your greeting? Does that help the ink transfer better the second time? (OK, that's maybe 2 questions.) Just curious. Thanks again. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
lol so for the sentiment, I think I forgot to condition it. So I stamped once (or twice) , cleaned it off and stamped again. Sometimes I think it helps just to clean it anyway before your stamp, even if it's conditioned already. There could be dust or in my case dog hairs floating around lol
Such beautiful shades of blue~~So pretty. Your Mom is going to love it even if it is late~~~💞💞💞
