    Can you do this so the envelope will be a rectangle shape? I have a wedding to attend to in August. The bride and groom doesn't want money or gifts gifted but they want instant lottery tickets, the ones you have to scratch off and they are rectangle-shaped. Thank you!

      Hi
      I'm so sorry for the slow reply.
      We do have small rectangle butterfly cards coming in to stock in the next 4 weeks. However, I'm afraid we don't have them available at the moment.
      Kind regards
      Leah

    Instead of double end tape you could have used glue or fevistick it will be more easy and more low costing

    • @ImagineDIYwedding
      @ImagineDIYwedding  2 роки тому

      Good point. You need to be careful with glue. Wet glue can spoil the paper / card; causing it to wrinkle. There are glues that work well but I find that double sided tape is a much safe bet x

    Thats beautiful but needs a lot of works. For Asian weddings its not doable because you need to invite at least 2000 people (which translate into 1000 invitations). Too much trouble. But it is really really beautiful.

    • @ImagineDIYwedding
      @ImagineDIYwedding  3 роки тому +1

      Yes. Probably a lot of work for 1000 invitations. However, there are not many designs that you could produce with less work though. Just 2 layers and a bow. When making these in-house, once we've printed and cut everything down, we could make each one in about a minute and a half..... if you form a little production line, the more you make, the faster you get 😉

      Hi Cherrlyn
      For the main cover, we used a petal (or butterfly) card. You can find them currently on sale here:

    That’s a lot of tape for such thin paper

    • @ImagineDIYwedding
      @ImagineDIYwedding  3 роки тому +3

      Hi
      Thanks for the feedback.
      I can see how it might seem like a lot of tape. We've been in the wedding stationery business since 2001 and have learned some really valuable lessons. I definitely think it's worth using a little extra tape to make sure nothing lifts or peels. It really brings down the look of an invitation if you scrimp on the small details. Even though it's thin paper, if you don't stick it along the edges and across the middle, there is a potential for it to lift or bubble slightly which to my eye looks really cheap.
      But it's up to you. It's definitely worth experimenting and seeing what works for you personally.
      I really appreciate you taking the time to comment.
      Kind regards
      Leah

      Thanks for taking the time to respond. I guess if it's not your kind of thing, you probably have a point! But if you love stationery, this is actually pretty effortless in comparison to many designs.
      If you're not up putting in a bit of effort, then Printed invitations are definitely the way to go........ DIY invitations might not be for you 😁.
      Personally, I LOVE stationery and it's worth every bit of my time. But that's a very personal choice and it's not for everyone x
