The 6th Army ( i think thats the name ) fought in and around Stalingrad but the army was soon surrounded and no supplies got through. So if you are saying it was a retreat of the 6th army that would be a little inaccurate but it could have been a nearby army retreat. P.S The entire 6th army was either captured and taken as a POW or killed :D Good video Diplex!
Hey Diplex. I'm sure you have plenty of ideas, but a series where you recreate historical battles would be awesome. They can be spectator games like this one. Have historically accurate numbers on each side and see if the game can recreate the outcome on its own. I was thinking the Battle of Hastings, for example, but this could go for any time period, so you could do Battle of Lexington, Antietam, Battle of Crecy, etc. Stalingrad, for example, might be impossible to recreate with accurate army stength, though. Just an idea.
This was amazing, I love seeing what kind of stuff you can make. Ever thought about making one of these in hilly/mountainous terrain or an urban area to sort of blend defenses with the natural building/structures?
You see now this was one of your best videos diplex. Please make more like it. I like when it's all automated and you can just watch the battle happen. Would be cool if you could do more of the same for Galaxy at war too
Do more! One based on the Demyansk pocket! Or even better the Kholm pocket! German against soviet onslaught. That has always amazed me. A small force of German armor and infantry surrounded on all sides supplied only by air against a series of Russian attacks. And they survived! That got to be intense. Please Kholm pocket, it was located in a small town with only infantry holding Soviet attacks for 105 days. Truly notable event, one of my favorite parts in the Eastern front.
I sincerely doubt that a single BT5 or 7 EVER faced a Porsche turret KoenigsTiger. Perhaps a T-34/76 but not likely a BT. They just didn't use them by 1943. SU-85, ISU122, ISU152, KV-1, T-34/76, Su-76 ['the bitch'] SP. But the first Koenigstiger didn't appear until Summer 1944. What a shame this couldn't have been done more historically accurate. Yes, I'm a WW2 nerd and i don't care.
I Hope u see this but your...Simulations/Real-Life to CRAZY Non Real Life Scenarios are better than most Military History on TV! Keep up the Great Job and don't worry about your Accents or Word's cause that's not y I watch!
Very good job!I'll request Nebelwerfers and maybe Ju-87 G tank-buster.River defense scenario good.Set up defensive enfilading MG42s left and right with mortars hitting behind and trapping onrushing attackers. Some hull down dug-in Jagdpanthers, or a Marder or Nashorn shoot and scoot defense scenario.Winter scape fine but maybe add in some rough/forest mixed in.Panzerschreck or 8.8cm Püppchen” anti-tank.
Great video but for historical purposes if this is after the loss at Stalingrad (February 1943) than the King Tigers are a bit premature as they first entered service in 1944.Overall however this is a great video and a great map, keep up the good work sir.
One of the best vids you've made, the mission scripting really cut down on the amount of time you spend managing troops and maximized the time the camera is on the action. Very nicely done. Interesting choice using the Tiger II B's, Porsche's model never really went into production though. (:
i agree. The KoenigsTigers were Porsche Turrets which were used from Summer 1944 so this HAS to be Winter 1944. If Tiger VIEs were used then it would be Winter 1943. Since i saw KV1a then it HAS to be Winter 1943 as the ISU-2 didn't appear until summer-autumn 1944 alongside the T-34/85. The ISU-2 with its 122mm HEAT rounds w separate charge only carried 12-14 rounds per vehicle.
in the scenario on greatest historic battles. I was the French version the.... forgot their name. but I was heavily out numbered what I seen was a head on battle. well I used Alexander's tactics. I put my best men, heavies on the side in a 4x4 fashion and then I used my light infantry to hold off the bulk of the battle with one archer in the back. remember these are units of 6x8, I used Alexander's tactic but moving two units forward with a back up force. And when I played it through I let them come absorbed the left side with my heavies and the bulk had stopped. The angled part of the lights was able to flank around them and slowly consume them. And when the heavy came in I got my king who was on horse to ride completely around to regroup with the heavies and was able to catch the king and caught him off guard. it was funny cause they outnumber me was heavily armored but when I caught the king you should've seen it approximately 300+ men totally retreat all the way off the map the king was dead the enemy routed we had victory.
you should do one where you have defense in depth like in your british one, but each line is very well fortified like in this battle, and then at the back there's a command post based out of another field fortress, and attacking it you have just SOOOO many enemy soldiers and tanks and even planes, have like an entire enemy division
Diplex you should do a mission with British or American glider/ paratroopers behind German lines trying to take out AA gun installations and secure some position.
great battle little bit of a dip that you got 2 king tigers you should have give them a normal tiger or panzer 4`s but still i loved it you earned my sub
hey diplex! nice video :) i have some questions.. how can i play custom battles like this one and are there ragdoll psysics when soldiers die? keep up the good work on your videos :)
would be cool if you did a cut at the end repaired german wehicules you could repair and retreated (showed us only retreating part) But altrough great video :D
Im currently making a scenario (base game) where a British Army defends agaisnt a german assult on the road map. I have a quetion, is 3 U- Boat turrets enough to murder a tank (the smaller ones)
I loved that video but I just wish you could spread out your armour. When the second King Tiger came in I wish you could have moved it to the opposite side of the map. Opposite the first King Tiger. A good distribution of your Armour on the defensive is better and plus is more wise. If you did that I think that the 2 Kings wouldn't have taken much damage. However The video was amazing and I loved it

+Feldmarschall Erwin Rommel Idk well he also used tiger 2 p's and stg 44's so i dont think this was all to historical
True
+Feldmarschall Erwin Rommel Idk the 6th army got totally destroyed, there is no retreat
Like i said :D
+Feldmarschall Erwin Rommel Idk i mean you can retreat the 5 guys that missed the train to stalingrad, but i think thats not worth it
More of these type scenarios please! They are fantastic! Keep up the great work Diplex
This is the best battle you've done

could the game handle the actaul amount of troops that were used?
Sometimes.
For example, they could not handle the battle of Paris.
Why?
The white flags would crash the game.
Will Edwards how would he do Hastings in men of war
this mission was amazing! can you please do more of this mod it's so good!
MOAR
More of this,mate
MORREEEE PLSS DIPLEX I LOVE EVERY BIT +DiplexHeated
More more more!
+bobjoeman13 The mod he's using doesn't add any new units or items, it only up's the realism. Everything you see, is already in the base game.
We in the military would call that a Target Rich Environment.
This is so cool. These scenarios are so great and have so much detail. Please make more !!
This was amazing, I love seeing what kind of stuff you can make. Ever thought about making one of these in hilly/mountainous terrain or an urban area to sort of blend defenses with the natural building/structures?
the ricochet sounds of the shells glancing of the armour is amazing
I would love to play these maps, can you upload them to the workshop?
this was amazing and interesting. keep doing this becuase you are good at it. kudos
You see now this was one of your best videos diplex. Please make more like it. I like when it's all automated and you can just watch the battle happen. Would be cool if you could do more of the same for Galaxy at war too
love how your doing casualty reports at the end now, i really like defense gameplay

yea i agree with demyansk map...I have play that map in Red Orchestra 2..:)
This was the best one ive seen so far, love your channel!
Insane ! love this scenario style !
king tiger vs bt-7
seems legit
Those bt's do make nice roman candles when hit by a shell of that caliber though lol.
+jades hhgg Tiger's aré gonna Win

they still had some in the east for manchuria in 1945, but you're right, none would have been around in the west by the time the KT came around
That was an awesome battle!
more of these for sure please!
I Hope u see this but your...Simulations/Real-Life to CRAZY Non Real Life Scenarios are better than most Military History on TV! Keep up the Great Job and don't worry about your Accents or Word's cause that's not y I watch!
that was an awesome battle i realy like these battles
This kind of game play reminds me of when we used to draw battlefields on the school tables
That was the best battle I have seen in a while
Awesome video!!! More like it I'm hoping are coming
This is a nice one, love this type of mission, helping the convoy and defend
These are awesome Diplex!! Keep em coming!!
This is one of the bloodest battles ive seen u do
I am German and its so funny to hear you speaking german
That was a very nice battle Diplex, see you next time ! :)
I like how he causally sent that guy to his death at 9:06
this is one of the best missions you've created
What is he playing on and downloading scenarios on what game and where to buy it
+Josh its on steam, its called Men Of War: Assault Squad (2), he uses the editor application to make his own missions.
k thanks

Great job ! As always, keep up.
keep doing battles like these
Damn this is awesome. Is it possible to download and play this mission?
Svoiet commander: ''SEND MOAR INTO THE SLAUGHTER!'' :D
As son as the Twin Tigers showed up I knew deep down that the Russians were finished. Even the KV's wouldn't have carried them after that.
Yeah they lost at that moment
+Mike Esparza The KV's were already dead because of the 88mm Flak guns. The tigers just added insult to injury.
+Mike Esparza reinforcments should be pz IV H
Love Thunder
Thank you. Or, at the most, Panthers or Tigers.
I really like your ww2 German videos it would be great if you could do more in the future.
King tiger? Winter 1943? Seriously?
He wasn't able to defend his convoy even with them on the perfect positions.
Narred Dar
Am i the only one that would love if diplex made it able to download the maps and missions he makes xD
Bradberry approves...well done.
And after a short amount of time there can be heavy reinforcements like tanks backing up the clothes after being pinned down from the droids fire
This reminds me of the 12. Armee breaking through the Soviet lines to reach the Elbe near the end of the War.
you should do a sped up video of you making a mission it would be cool to see
1:55 Random desk on the side of the road
yeah... how did it got there?

when your charging the german entrenchment and 2 king tigers show up
Diplex you should do a mission with British or American glider/ paratroopers behind German lines trying to take out AA gun installations and secure some position.
He already did that , British paratroopers attacking German Flack position in a night assault .
Diplex says it's just a sit back and watch video
*takes control of Germans, shoots Russians, and doesn't help Russians*
XD I love it
+KronosRocks FOR DA FATHERLAAAAAAAAAAAAAND
How easy is it to do an air battle? Or maybe even a combined arms battle kind of thing, would love to see air combat.
"Commissar! Maybe we should hit the convoy at a weaker point in the road."
"Who are you, Comrade Question? Maybe you'll fight harder in Siberia HAHA!"
bt-5 vs king tiger mmm very interesting who will win.
i like he knows what to do when im here thinking how can you make that infantry move with all those units cluster around them.
This was incredible!
diplex I love ur videos there so cool and entertaining
Dude a little post-war scenario with some Centurions and Pershings against some Russian armour would be dope AF
Haha nah gay af
Diplex, you should make a video on survivors after a massive attack, and they go on and fight the remnants of other opposing forces!
Dude that was awesome the russians got rekt hard! - keep up with the great content
1:29 was that a dead horse in the road ?
You should do like a base getting built and there's a supply coming while the enemy's attaking
Duplex I love the large snow WW2 batels
Diplex
Slitheen...
No more Combat Mission?
I used to enjoy Combat Mission! what it lacked in graphics it made up for in realism [tactical and in physics].
i Love These line defense videos
Good videos Dipelx kip it up your the best
Awesome videos and nice mission
great battle little bit of a dip that you got 2 king tigers you should have give them a normal tiger or panzer 4`s but still i loved it you earned my sub
Could you turn off the 'damage' markers for a more authentic look?
hey diplex! nice video :) i have some questions.. how can i play custom battles like this one and are there ragdoll psysics when soldiers die? keep up the good work on your videos :)
I love this video thank you for this awesome video
would be cool if you did a cut at the end repaired german wehicules you could repair and retreated (showed us only retreating part) But altrough great video :D
can you do one in a city zone (like berlin) with buikding used
and destroyed
yeah. or in stalingrad
What was that first german tank as reinforcement ,a panzer 3?
Diplex do you recommend men of war assault squad 1 or 2
bt7s vs tiger 2s seems fair
How do you get trenches to work, theyre always too deep and underground and other problems
Im currently making a scenario (base game) where a British Army defends agaisnt a german assult on the road map. I have a quetion, is 3 U- Boat turrets enough to murder a tank (the smaller ones)
I'm looking in your video posts, have you ever done Tarawa or Guadocnnal?
Love that battle, carnage
You should consider recreating the battle of Juno beach that would be dope
Those 88s singing gave me a semi
That's an awesome battle plz make more ty ;)
You would have made the Wehrmacht proud had you been an officer.
dude insane
Thanks for that
How did a bt5 get to the rear weird right
Hey can you make a video on how to make a map from scratch in the editor
Can you put it up on the workshop
I really loved the video
I loved that video but I just wish you could spread out your armour. When the second King Tiger came in I wish you could have moved it to the opposite side of the map. Opposite the first King Tiger. A good distribution of your Armour on the defensive is better and plus is more wise. If you did that I think that the 2 Kings wouldn't have taken much damage. However The video was amazing and I loved it
How did you get those trucks to move across?
Is that me or the sound of the halftrack whit i think à 50 mm is WOW
It is well that war is so terrible - lest we should grow too fond of it.
What are the keys for the cinematic view?
Keep it on Diplex ! That's a really cool mission. Did you ever think about to place them in the Steam Workshop?
King Tiger at this mission ?
Little historical mistake
That was awesome!
Could do a starlingrad style Russian defensive?
