Kyu and Yesung's voice expression is different. Kyu's is softer than YS . YS's is more painful than Kyu, So, they are great
Even though I'm a KYU-biased fangirl...for me yesung wins this time..indeed,kyuhyun's voice is angelic and AMAZING~but it just feels that this song was made to fit yesung's voice and yesung's rendition is more suited because you can really feel the sorrows in it. but KYU is AMAZING!!!!!

Kyu is a better vocalist. But I think it's hard to get used to a voice different to the original released. Kyuhyun is rounder and healthier vocally speaking even in this song. But this song is remarked by Yesung's voice.

I think Kyu did extremely well too.. he gave the song a diff feel to it.. ^^Its like Yesung's version is the beginning when u first broke up in a heart-wrenching love.. Kyu's version is when u are looking back on that love.. Yesung's sounded more painful while Kyu's less painful and a little warm as a matter of fact.. Like both.. ^^ its not fair to compare at all since they give off different feel..

It is not that this song doesnt match kyuhyun but rather, we are just used in yesung singing this song. If people have heard Kyu singing this song first, I bet the others would say that Yesung doesnt match this song either. You know guys, there's no point in comparing. The most important thing is these both guys are awesome and has God-given talent. And let's admit the truth that Kyuhyun have sang this song really well. If you don't agree, I think there's something wrong with your ears.

To tell the truth, Kyu Hyun had to try so much for this song. Although he is especially good in ballad, but I have to say that YeSung is the master in ballad. He reminds me of Fly to the Sky-HwangHee, so gorgeous!

awesome voice as per usual, ah i love kyu's voice~ but i think yesung wins this time, because yesung's rendition was more 'painful' and suited the drama's angst so much. feels like the song was custom-made for yesung.

um... those of you saying kyu struggled with this song, i don't know what you're hearing. he didn't struggle, except for in the first chorus when he slurred up to the high note. besides, this is a live version, so of course there are going to be imperfections. you can't compare this to yesung's studio version.
kyu is my suju bias, but i do think this song is more suited for yesung's voice. as for who is the better singer, you can't really compare them. they have two completely different styles.

Kyu and Sung are both lead vocal...the only reason it seems different when Kyu sing is because Sung has more base in his voice... It'd sound different if Sung sang 7 years of love too... Kyu sounds really good

i am a HUGE fan of Yesung, and his version of it has to be you. When i saw that Kyu also sang this song i kinda cringed...but I must say he NAILED it! I loved every second of it. Kyu hwaiting! Yesung saranghae.

Oh, Kyu did great with this song, but Yesung does this song the greatest. Kyu loves to repeat the last word in every song he sings live. Like the one in Sukira. He sang "Hope is a Dream That Doesn't Sleep" and he repeat the last word while looking at Eunhyuk. Haha. Just notice. "saranghanikka" :)
@jongwoonlover I don't think that Kyu is struggling non i feel that he is struggling, it is his way of adding feeling to this song, and also he must be very tired with recent non-stop activities with live performance in musical, SM The Ballad, KRY and preparing for SJ-M new album. Kyu, pls have more rest ya ;-) looking forward to see you in Singapore 29th Jan'11!

Yesung sang "eobsi" with an h in front, kyuhyun sang "eobsi" with a w consonant, to me "H-eobsi" just sounds better

In the moment he covers yesung's song, I'm given the chance to compare this two diferent perfomances. And yes, I know that they have different styles. @LadyCookie88 first off im Kyu-biased. well Kyu actually didn't handle this song well as Yesung. i admit that Yesung has a distinctively expressive voice. this song is Yesung's original & ofc nothing can beat the original. but hey "mature" you, Kyu has his own distinguished voice as well as his way of conveying his emotions. for me Kyu has a mellow voice compared to that powerfully mournful of Yesung. what's the point of comparing them when we can just run away with both versions? be mature!

I think that Kyuhyun sang it technically (although it went a little too high for him at 1:20ish). While Yesung has the advantage of having a wider range than Kyuhyun and this being "his" song and all, it's my personal opinion that Yesung sings it better. Kyuhyun has a pleasant voice and it's not bad to listen to, but when I hear Yesungs rendition of this song, it makes me want to cry. Lastly, I just don't think Kyu "owned" it. It sounded semi-karaoke to me :P

Kyun hun lacks the feeling…He’s just singing for the sake of it. On the other hand Yesung sings with true feeling of the song where One can feel the depth of the song.
