Exactly what I was thinking. As someone who works in IT and works with scanners a lot, I would be scared of messing the cards up. The rollers can get dust on them and scratch the cards.
It does, that's why I don't even do it with my $1 cards even if it takes longer. In order to get millions of cards on eBay though, there is really no other option
Scanners are necessary in processing lots of low end cards. And it really doesn’t mess them up 99% of the time, but if you have a high dollar card, it’s not worth risking, but if it’s a cheap card screw it
Video games also blew up in value during the pandemic, but the difference is sports cards are really volatile and prices are dropping big time. Video Games went up and stayed up with more new collectors into the space versus "investors/speculators" into sports cards.
I'd like to see the second or third biggest place ,I enjoy your channel but seeing the same thing on a 100 different channels gets old ,I like stuff off the beaten trail how I've built my collection over the last 30 years.
If a person like John F. Kennedy died in 1963 and these cards were manufactured well after that how in the world are they allowed to do something like that or even have access to his hair the only thing I can think of is they dig him up or open his grave as more as it may sound
He just said it all they're starting to over saturate the market here all those companies he said same problem that happened before,he couldn't even find his own cards but Ryan could this is like a long commercial anymore this guy's been on ever single yt card channel to a point he says the same thing exactly over and over , I'd like to meet or see a couple of his guys that are actually finding the cards and dealing with the customer and sellers that's who would have the good stories and tell you more about the card hobby.
There's about 39.9 Millions pieces of base/junk in there tho...not a great use of warehouse and space. He has to be rich to do this, not profitable at all but it's super impressive!!
I get it but I can see all about this dude and his stuff elsewhere and have. You don’t need to show this Gilligan. I tuned in because I like your stuff! Something about that dude just rubs me the wrong way. I mean if you are low on content I get it but You are better than this joker.
Something to be said about being in business that long. It’s not by accident. Learning from someone who’s been around that long and built something so successful is a unique opportunity I don’t take for granted. Sorry it wasn’t your cup of tea, but it was an experience I’m certainly grateful for.

Ok
how does running cards through a scanner not rough up the cards?
Exactly what I was thinking. As someone who works in IT and works with scanners a lot, I would be scared of messing the cards up. The rollers can get dust on them and scratch the cards.
I use same scanner as them not sure how but it doesn't harm cards

So cool to see behind the scenes of a place I buy from. Thanks for the look!
I have never bought a card in my life and this video blew my mind. This is a business lesson. Inventory. Organization. Process.
Video games also blew up in value during the pandemic, but the difference is sports cards are really volatile and prices are dropping big time. Video Games went up and stayed up with more new collectors into the space versus "investors/speculators" into sports cards.
I wish there was a CardCollector2 Texas. I really don't feel like moving back home to Ohio just yet after living here since 2004.
Love seeing behind-the-scenes for card shops! Super good info here!
Pretty amazing organization and filing system. It’d be a shame if an earthquake came along.
If an earthquake hits Burbank is screwed

All those shelves without any way to save cards from toppling during an inevitable earthquake.

With the height of those massive shelves Burbank must pay a nice wage premium to any 7ft+ tall person who applies there 🤣

I like to take a drink each time he says “literally”. Not three seconds in, I’m drinking.
