You hit the nail on the head Mark it’s the unknown and things you see that draw you back time and time again ,I’ve been sea fishing for 40 yrs as I imagine many have , and still get surprised by the weird and wonderful stuff you see and catch
    Great stuff
    Cheers from down south

Right on mark, when you play golf, you get 18holes everytime, when you go fishing you flat out never know what you’ll get, you can slay em one day and show up and the same time and spot the next day and they are not on the chew. Frustrating at times for sure, but the more you do it the better you’ll get at it.
A islander mate who captained long line vessels I told me when I started fishing from a boat to keep log books of all your trips, what worked and what didn’t, record all your catches, tides moon phase weather etc, and it will help you to see patterns, catch more fish and be a better fisherman. It’s been great advice, helps me know now many kg of fish I catch in a year too.

Nice little trip. My only tip, stop bringing the swivels through the top of the rod. It can damage the guide pretty bad

And yup, changing drag while fish is running is a normal mistake, its risky even touching it, he definitely cranked it too much too

Beautiful boat and such a great place to take it. You'll never know if you never go.. Or as my mate will say every time, can't catch fish from the couch. 😂😂

Bend the barbs in on the hooks on the bait jigs, makes it quicker to get them off

That's the beauty if sea fishing (and fishing in general), Mark. We never know what is hooked. Maybe a surprise is at the end. Love the videos, very stoked that you made a fishing channel, which is laid back and shows that not all trips are good either. Keep up the wonderful content :)

Not brutal at all. I love your spike and also the fact that you do genuinely care about dispatching the fish as painlessly as possible. This actually makes a huge difference to me as to whether I would continue to watch or not.
Respect your prey and its environment and they will be there the next time

Brilliant stuff guys! That was an awesome fight with the cobia, escaping sharks and running right around the boat. That is the perfect eating size! 👌
It was cool that you guessed that they were cobia on the sounder too. As you said at the end, the more time you’re spending out on the water, the more you’re learning and the more success you’re having, it’s seriously awesome to see! 😁👍
    Tight lines guys 🎣

I used to work in outdoor television. Fishing was always the most difficult thing to film. What people really want to see is the hook up and then the entire fight. So, you've got to keep your cameras rolling the entire day and you go through batteries like crazy. Maybe consider GoPros (or similar) on all of you. You'll have a much better chance of catching the hook up and getting the entire fight on camera. Great job though! I'm jealous!

Noice! I get frustrated with the reliability of bait around there and have basically given up. Thanks for the confidence to give that another crack.

    Hi, awesome video mate.
Would you be able to say what beacon that was? Or would any beacon be the same? Heading out to mud Island soon.

You say brutal Mark but an instant death is far better than letting a fish suffocate out of water ( a long slow death ) good job 👍🇦🇺🇬🇧

Are the rods set up for a group of lefties? Or is the shot inverted?
