    When I first got to Thailand in the mid 90s (& stayed) even though I was in my early 30s one of the big things I noticed was how very respectful and reverend EVERYONE was of elderly people! 😊 This is a massive credit to their culture and again the other thing here is the high level of importance they all place on being POLITE 😮😊 Something the west might be able to get some pointers on....

    Great reasons to pull the plug on America. I do, sometimes, find the whole idea to be "crazy" so I just tell myself that I'll take it as it goes. Maybe 1 year, maybe more... and as you say, can easily turn it into a slow travel type of lifestyle as the whole region is available at low cost.
    I was so set on working, working, working, and get that FRE @ 70yo for some security in this high cost environment; even bragging somewhat that I am young for my age and can keep going no problem. But age is a reality. We all have the go-go years and then the slow-go so why wait until the best years of your last chapter as a senior are aches and ailments?
    Plus, being surprised by a divorce and the impossibility of navigating the dating scene as a senior citizen is highly motivating. I'll take a trial trip next month and then make my final decision. Hoping that goes well as I am ready!

    Rain in Bangkok metro usually falls during times like the morning or early evening.
    Bangkok metro has cheap Wi-Fi. Or sometimes it's free and the Wi-Fi is fast, stable, and covers the entire country.

    • @JJthelonelybullinasia
      @JJthelonelybullinasia  7 днів тому +4

      It's hard to compare, but Bangkok is a lot bigger than BGC. You can walk anywhere in BGC, but in Bangkok it's super easy to get around. A lot easier than getting around Metro Manila. There are more things to do in Bangkok. I love both places, and I would suggest spending a good amount of time in both in order to make a good decision. Thanks for watching.

      We call BGC , Makati and Rockwell the showcases of Metro Manila. Because you can hardly leave that small area very far. Due to inconvenient travel connections Few travel options and the Philippines has large slums surrounding many business districts. There are too many people. compared to area
      There aren't many accommodation options. The price compared to the options you get is not worth the amenities you get. Interior decoration and design Including the construction standards are still low.
      variety of food There are not many tourist attractions.
      As for Bangkok Metro There is convenient travel connectivity. From the moment you get off the plane, there are ARL trains, Taxis, Grab, and Airport buses. In addition to convenient transportation in the city, there are public buses, Motorbike taxis, Taxis, Tuk tuks, BRT , more 10 MRT train lines, and public and tour boats transportation both on the river and canal has Bolt, Grab and also helicopter taxis. Traffic is only during rush hours in the morning. and in the evening after work But you still travel and contact or make appointments on time through the MRT train system Both elevated and subway. So You can travel all over the country by trains, boats, plane, tour buses. In the next few years, there will be two more high-speed train lines. It has Bang Sue Grand Central Station, which is the largest in Southeast Asia. similar to an terminal in airport, and many motorways in the city.
      There are also residential tourist business areas spread throughout the city, such as the areas of Silom, Sukhumvit, Thonglor, Ekkamai, Asok , Nana , Ari, Phahon Yothin, Lat Phrao, Rama 9, Ratchadapisek , Ratchaprasong , Ratchadamri , Sathorn, Siam Square, Samyan, Rama3 , Rama 4 , Lang Suan, Thonburi, Bang Wa , Bang Kho , Lad Phrao, Chaengwattana , Srinakarin, Yaowarat (Grand China town) , Ploenchit ,Bang Khae , Pinklao, Ramintra, Don Mueang, Charoen Nakhon, Charoen Krung, Tha Pra ,Ratchathewi, Rajavitthi , Phayathai , Rattanakosin Old City and others.
      There is also a large malls. and has the most in Southeast Asia And the design is unique.
      And there is also the construction of a public park. Exercise parks all over the city, both small and large parks, and new ones opening every year. For the health of citizens within the city and increase green The beauty and freshness of the city

      @@JJthelonelybullinasiaThe Benchakitti Forest Park that you walk through is only 1/4 of the size of the park. The park has an area of approximately 3.5 square kilometers. which is smaller than the BGC area which is 5.5 square kilometers in size. But when combined with Lumpini Park, which is 3 square kilometers in size, it is close together. It will be equal to the BGC area, which is the size of the Bangkok Metro. Not counting nearby provinces There will be an area around1,569 square kilometers, with a total of 50 districts, it will be very large, with a total population of 11 million people, and if including the neighboring municipalities, the area will have an area of 7,700 square kilometers. with a population of approximately 17-18 million people.😊
