My 06 6.0 has 225000 miles with gearhead tunes for years and never needed to be studded! Work the truck run the truck and take it on a 24 hr trip with the fam 6 times a year. Truck has been perfect!!

Knock on wood, mine is a 06 257k on it. No studs not deleted. Just a looney tunes on X4, charge pipes, 4 TBE. all in how you treat and maintain them I think.
I love the 7.3L because I've had some F-250's and F-350's with them only,but I really want a F-250 or Excursion with a 6.0L.That Whistle they make is just impossible to not get distracted by.
I bought a 2004 6.0 3 years ago with 230,000miles on it did all the bullet proofing except headstuds and not a problem yet

Stock trans for these 6.0’s are just incredible. They handle power and shift great no matter what rpm you push these trucks to!
They really are unsung heroes IMO. They are tough as a woodpeckers lips can take a lifetime of beating yet still shift smooth and firmly. They can be found for $500 all over marketplace used if needed and are just awesome.

I have a 06 F250 6.0 with a 8 inch lift. Love this truck. I get lots of compliments especially it being a manual. Feels like a new truck now cuz I dropped a brand new Ford 6.0 in it a month ago. You guys have some tricked trucks!

I have an 04 6.0 that I bullet proofed other than the studs. I have 139k on it . I put an additional 40k to make it the way I like. 11 inch lift sitting on Toyo 40s. Nothing but high end parts. 5 inch strait pipe sounds sweeter than molasses

Building my dream collection, so far I’ve got an 06 Dodge Ram 3500 (SRW). Mega Cab Laramie tan leather loaded w/ sunroof heated seats power everything 5.9 auto trans 4wd with the Tan/sand color metallic oem paint and picking up an 07 F-350 White Ford King Ranch 6.0 CCSB 4wd loaded with sunroof Both have zero rust next to find is that light teal/bright crystal blue 06/07 Chevy lbz CCSB Loaded tan interior with sunroof hard to find but ima try n do my damndest to find it either with rust and restore it or without for a decent price lol 😅 you inspired me to gdt my Cummins and I’m so glad I bought that one first!!! Paid $1000 for the mega cab because the dude was an older guy who had it forever and used it to pull his camper with it and it needed a break line and the fan clutch was fucked on it 😂😂😂 clean title it was a steal put 30k miles on it in the past 6 months it rides out 😮💨
I’m a year late but love the video!! Most of the 6.0 problems can be avoided by deleting the egr early in the trucks life..it was the first time international ever put a egr in anything..rest of the engine is very durable

6.0 for days my 05 is not studded 180k but everything else is bullet proof if you have a Healthy 6.0 to start and get the parts to get the heat out of the engine the head bolts will last great trucks in the video need more motor and less paint imo keep it up
Dam that almost looks like my truck mine is the Harley Davidson though would be cool to get a video of my truck it’s definitely a super fast truck got lots of $$$$ in the engine and transmission 💪🏻
Hey man are 6.0 really good trucks? I have been looking at 6.0 powerstroke or 5.9 cummins.
Travis Brandlein the 6.0 is definitely a good truck but they do cost money to make them a reliable truck.ARP Head studs EGR delete O-ring heads I’d do an Oil cooler standpipes down pipes coolant filtration filter and DEFINITELY keep up on maintenance oil changes are a big one and always use Motorcraft filters when doing Oil changes or fuel filters also another big thing is to keep your radiator coolant changed once a year to keep on the safe side. You can definitely find these trucks already studded and a lot of work done to them but you always want to make sure the work is done right though or you well have problems.
I’ve seen 6.0”s all stock and not have any problems it’s just I’d feel safer with it bullet proof and not have to worry about it for a very long time💯😎
Travis Brandlein now on the 5.9 Cummins that’s a VERY dependable engine I have a 1999 24 valve Cummins with 387,000 miles on it stock head bolts stock injectors VP 44 was replaced and I updated the transmission with a different valve body and torque converter because I use the truck for pulling Personally I’d go with the 5.9 Cummins but if you want a truck that’s fast and fun I’d buy a 6.0 powerstroke I own them both I’ve got soooo much money in my 6.0 but it DEFINITELY puts a smile on my face every time I drive it I use my 5.9 Cummins as my daily driver

@@jasonpuzio9756 see also I can find 6.0 way cheaper than cummins there one right now for sale with 152000 miles for 9000 and some change. Which is a really good deal I think for a diesel. And a cummins are between 15000-30k with high mileage.

Both of my trucks are unstudded. one is at 196k and the other is at 133k. As long as you take care of these trucks they will perform.

Looking into a 2005 6.0 Excursion. Any recommendations to bulletproof the engine. I hear these engine are prone to blow gaskets.

just changed my fass filters, dont know how you did that so clean. i ended up with diesel fuel everywhere. mine were installed in a harder to get to spot tho so that might be part of it.

GRIMM REEFER6 I honestly love mine. But just know all the problems associated with the 6 liter. Know that it may blow up on you in the way home. If you think about it like that, you won’t be surprised. I have had to put an alternator, glow plugs, and y pipe on it. That’s it.

Firelord360 I understand but I’ve seen a significant amount of them needing complete engines with less than 80k on the clicker. The exact reason could be that the ratio of irresponsible owners/drivers has risen but who knows? It’s so much easier for folks to finance now.
