I took my 13 year old brother to see Atom play a house show in some punks' basement back in the 90's and the opening bands went long which meant Atom was gonna start after my brother's curfew, my bro convinced Atom to call our Mom to ask if he could stay out past his curfew to see him perform, she was very confused by the call but she said yes
So glad this video is here. I was too young to ever go see Atom before he quit in 2003, but I loved and still love his music. Just visited his website randomly and he posted that he played this fest, unfortunately i wasnt aware in 2017 otherwise i would have probably been the drunkest guy in this video! Thanks for providing me a good Saturday night filled with nostalgia in 2024.
This takes me way way back. Still just as clever and infinitely punk and fun. Can’t believe how many words I still remember after 20 or so years. Some things just stay with you.
Thanks for sharing this. I went to Fest this year for my first time but couldn't get into The Wooly for Atom which is one of the main reasons I bought the tickets this year. Super happy to see a video of his set. I did get to hear a little bit from outside the door :)
