It's always interesting to see what different adaptations can spring up from the same story.

Can you do a video on the Avatar movies and how they appropriate Indigenous culture? James Cameron said the Lakota Nation was a “dead end society” then proceeded to make millions disguising a story of Indigenous resistance in white saviorism. He also appropriate Black culture through the hair of his characters. Saying that the movies are just about blue people is like saying the book Animal Farm by George Orwell is just about animals on a farm. Although media is fake, the ramifications it can have on society are real. The birth of a nation is directly responsible for the rebirth of the Ku Klux Klan. The KKK never had the ritual of cross burning. That was something D.W. Griffith came up with because he thought it was a great cinematic image. Like Malcom X once said, “The media's the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses.” www.insider.com/avatar-james-cameron-inspiration-themes-colonization-indigenous-anime-2022-12?amp

Fernando Felix I would be interesting in doing a video on the topic as a collaboration with an Indigenous American content creator. I don’t wish to speak for/in place of anybody else but agree it is a topic worth discussing.
