This whole getting rid of figures thing is a concept that is completely lost on me. 😮 That Maul figure is one of my favs. Now you need to do "Top 5 Hot Toys I Bought, But Wish I Hadn't" 🤣
Wow, i can't believe your fessing up to dumping those grails. What in the sweet hell were you thinking? I am tearing up just watching this 😢, lol. The answer is YES on getting those bad boys back in the collection, except for the dark armoured batman, you could have left that one kicked to the curb, lol.
I love this king of unusual videos, and I love lists. So, double check! Hahaha Man, last year I decided (had to) sell almost my entire SW collection. Just kept Vader. But I also had the DX16 Maul. Man, that’s the best Darth Maul EVER made. Some time I really think to pick him back… Btw: the “big 3”, as you say, is basically mandatory in any collection, but those “miscellanea” is what REALLY make a collection to shine. Cheers!
Thanks for watching and sharing your experiences! I could sell off my rogue one figures if I had to but I don’t think I can sell my OT. Hopefully I don’t have to sell anything going forward! lol
I started my collection without a specific idea of what to do and what I could buy. So, I began to Google, trying to find 1/6 figures from movies that had some emotional resonance with me. Naturally, my collection became about feelings and love, not a specific IP or goal, just emotions.
I’ve yet in 5 years of collecting sold any figures due to the fact I was always afraid of resale value on certain pieces - I would love to get a T800 from hot toys at some point - just got the future warrior to supplement my collection until then
I've def learned to be more selective and think real hard before selling a figure lol. I'm kind of glad the market has changed and you can't really use your collection to fund your collection. Its caused me to be more disciplined.
Great video Graeme, glad you were able to get your grails back. I don't usually sell many figures , but there have been at least 2 or 3 that I have sold. The one that I regretted selling was an extra OT Chewbacca that i had. Especially now that i recently got a custom Chewbacca rooted headsculpt, and on top of that, now we're finally getting another Han Solo, im really kicking myself. That Chewie was mint in sealed box too😢😢😢. So im hoping we get an Endor Chewie from Hot Toys.
So mine were Hot Toys ANH Han & Chewbacca and Emperor Palpatine on the throne. Had them, sold them to fund other figures, sold/traded those other figures until I eventually bought them back.
When you showed that Robocop figure I flashed back to the Silverhawks cartoon. I think those characters would look bad ass in their metallic armor, and that Mon-Star character would be right up there in size with the Hulkbuster. Anyways, cool video. Thank you.
Great video. Wow… how did you let them go??? I wish I had all of those. Your luck you found them again! Especially T2 battle damage brand new! Only on from your list I don’t care for is Black Batman version! As for your display format, it’s yours it should matter to you how it looks. I do understand what you mean by a format but you collect what you like. I myself am stuck with collecting everything I like. And boy am I done with space! I’m at the point where I need to put away some things to display another.
I regret selling my Sideshow Aayla Secura. We had financial issues at the time and I needed the money. I also had a nearly complete collection of Sideshow's zombie line and I wish I had those back. As far as what I would never sell, it would take a lot for me to part with my SDCC Hot Toys Sith Anakin.
DX13 was the first figure i got, still my number one grail i'll never sell. it's so good i got 2 lol, also got the dx10 but still on the hunt for a decent mms238. Glad u got these back!
I'm with you bud, no you're not less of a collector. I'm going to share some pain w/ you too...Scarlett Spider, Tarkin, Arkham Knight, battle damaged Robo, Wolf Predator 2.0, Jyn, T1 BD and Batman 89. Yeah painful. But hey at least we got the 89 reissue, lol. Thanks for sharing.
I am thankful still for my collection, but I am a family man first such as yourself...check out my collection tour I posted a few days ago. Would love the feedback, thanks brother!@@thejediknightswatch
My only figure that i wish i didnt have buy was the Spiderman 2099 because of the material no articulation no pose possible but it was because of the hype and fear of missing out i will make that mistake never again😂
Nice talk and explanation of how this went for you, a very valuable resource for collectors. I did this on one Trooper one time. No harm no foul. I like to get almost everything and never know how they land for me until in hand, so I sell about ten per year that I've bought. Space is an issue!
Yeah, I totally understand that. Space and Funds can be the main issues. Sometimes It takes having a figure, selling it, then missing and realizing how much it meant to you lol.
Very Brave of you to confess your sins. I've always been one to never look back. Embrace the future. Collecting Hot Toys will always send you down the path of regret when you sell. It's part of the circle of life.🧐
Haha thanks for watching Danoby! I’ve got nothing to hide, just learning as I go! I’ve def sold a lot less in the past year because of that regret and learning from it!😀

🤣🤣 that would be a good video idea

Haha, I’m not perfect, especially when I was new to collecting! Love that armored Batman!!
I love this king of unusual videos, and I love lists. So, double check! Hahaha

That’s the way to do it, my man!

Oh man! We all make mistakes I guess lol. That chewy is great!
So mine were Hot Toys ANH Han & Chewbacca and Emperor Palpatine on the throne. Had them, sold them to fund other figures, sold/traded those other figures until I eventually bought them back.
Wow those are some studs! Glad you got them back!
Those are some very good figures. Glad you were able to get them back. I need a terminator 😂
I once was lost but now am found lol. Terminator figures are special, especially battle damaged! Thanks for watching Brick!
Great list! I have almost all those figures except the T1 Terminator.
Thanks for watching!
When you showed that Robocop figure I flashed back to the Silverhawks cartoon. I think those characters would look bad ass in their metallic armor, and that Mon-Star character would be right up there in size with the Hulkbuster. Anyways, cool video. Thank you.
Thank you for the kind words! Appreciate it!
Happy you got all these back in collection, almost grail pieces 🤙
Thanks man! Appreciate you watching as always!

Great video bud!
Thank you my friend! Hope you are feeling better!

Yes I love the dx13! It’s perfect

man I really enjoyed this topic! You are right. We need Terminator 2 2.0 Indi 2.0 and Predators. At least we got the impossible Han Solo figure😂
I’m glad you liked it! Thanks for watching! Yes! Han Solo!
Jack Sparrow DX15, The Godfather OG release, and Alita. No 3rd party release has topped these, or we'll likely never see a re-release.
Solid figures! Jack Sparrow DX06 (I think) almost made my list.
Great video !! Terminator figures are 🫨😍
Thanks man! Yes terminator figures are something else with all that detail!
great freaking figure lineup graeme
be honest with you.the darth maul only i got on these top 5 list..those 4 other figure price now are steep..
Yeah, as I was doing this list I was like, shit these are some grails! Glad to have them back!
I will go even further ... I collect what I like and it doesn't matter what scale the collectible is. Could be 1/12, 1/6, 1/4 or lifesize.
Hell yeah!
Easily my best figure i own..the DX13 Battle Damaged❤ Hoping for more Terminator Figures in the future..who knows🤞🏼
Same! Would be nice to see some 2.0’s of Sarah Connor, t100 etc!
All amazing figures thats how it goes it’s an ebb and flow you will get the ones you want eventually 👍🏽😎
Great outlook! Collect and learn!
Nice list, man! You think they will announce another Darth Maul for the 25th anniversary?
I don’t think they need one unless they overhaul the head sculpt.
My only figure that i wish i didnt have buy was the Spiderman 2099 because of the material no articulation no pose possible but it was because of the hype and fear of missing out i will make that mistake never again😂
Thats tough. If a figure looks great, I'm willing to sacrifice possibility, but spiderman is tough cause you want him in those cool poses.
This is a cool video. That number 1 figure is sick. I kinda want it.
Always appreciate the support from the pack!
