Quail calling is one of if not the most beautiful sounds in nature. I lived for over 2o years in the desert of Southern California and feed them every day when I got home from work. If I got home late from work they would be in the bushes waiting for me to feed them, and they would come out while I was spreading feed and run around me like I was feeding chickens. When they started having babies some of them would bring their babies by for me to see.
This video reminds me of my own experiences in California including the San Joaquin Valley and time spent with my favorite bird ever, the California Quail, a true charmer. Peace..
Great sounds....I grew up in the San Joaquin Valley, this reminds me of my trips to Mariposa and watching and listening to all the sounds around there.....outside of town.
Grew up in Wenatchee WA and had quail all over the place. I miss hearing their calls, what with my now living on the east coast of the US... Instead of these wonderful birds, I get to hear cicadas scream!
