Ringing of the nine bells of Verona's largest church

- The Church of St Anastasia is the largest in the city of Verona, named after this saint even though it was built in honour of the martyr St Peter. The magnificent Gothic church was built in the 14th century and has a very high tower, 72 metres, which is the third largest in the city centre. In 1460 there were five bells in a minor key, which were remade several times over the years until in 1806 the church passed to the priests of the diocese, as the Dominican order was suppressed by Napoleon. With the arrival of the diocese, four bells were remade, keeping the 17th-century major. The concert was recast twice more, until the five new bells were inaugurated, which became six in 1840. In the 20th century, three smaller bells were added and the large bell was remoulded.

The bells have strings and are rung by the town's main team at a famous afternoon event on the eve of Pentecost.
Concert in the musical scale of C major, total weight 5659 kg bronze:
- Major bell recast in 1989
- Bell II, III, IV and V original from 1839
- Bell VI added in 1840
- Three smaller bells added in 1923
The church was built next to the Dominican convent between 1290 and the 15th century, replacing a medieval oratory. The construction of the church was promoted by the noble duke, who began the construction of a huge building but had to stop halfway through as his family was defeated in battle. In 1422, construction resumed when Pope Martin granted the privilege of indulgences, which led to many private individuals becoming benefactors. The magnificent cross vaults were decorated with floral motifs in the mid 15th century, while the new floor was made of three precious marbles black, white and red, symbolising the friars' robes soaked in the blood of martyrdom.

No nessun rifacimento qui, ci mancherebbe. A S.Giorgio in Braida è in corso un ampliamento con l'aggiunta di tre nuove campane in scala diatonica più semitono in settima minore.
Bellissimo video stupendo complimenti, ma una domanda, in rete c'è un video di queste campane con le medesime inquadrature del 1950, come mai la suonata fatta nel 1950 era a tempo più lento e le campane erano anche più lente? Grazie a chi risponde
