Algos typo I noticed in my LP, I've fixed that :D Y-W/Bs were removed from this mission but again forgot to update the briefing and has since been fixed! Your friendly capitals are all shooting at the incoming torpedoes, which is why you might've been confused by what they were shooting at. When given a 'Protect' order, any nearby capitals will shoot down torpedoes going for their assigned protect orders. The initial 'rendezvous with the Tropsobor' line is just a throwaway line for you to escort her in but the fleet attacks almost straight away.
After I recorded my video I watched yours.. and I'm thankful for the removal of the Y-W/Bs.. that would have been a genuine nightmare! The rendezvous with the Tropsobor feels like a nice nod to the original mission where you escort the T/As, though! I like it.
Wing Commander is a position, a leader over a "Wing" of military aircraft. The title varies by navy/country IRL.
