#airbrushing #modelrailway #trains #diorama #modelrailroad A look at some new paint from E models, and new modelling bench/table and a brush cleaning gadget
Hiya Digger! Nice colors. I have always used solvent-based paints for my cars (and other vehicles) and figures. For more specific tasks, however, I should perhaps slowly rely more on acrylic paints, but I definitely won't switch completely (I recently switched from Revell Enamels to another manufacturer with real RAL colors, which we need over here). Oh, and I should definitely clean out my work area completely, as so much has accumulated there that I will probably never use again. On this occasion I should finally get rid of my model collection, which is also far too big and just takes up space. Sooner or later, if I have to move out of here one day, the collection will have to go anyway... Cheers and take care! 🍀👋🏻 Oh, and not to forget: Happy New Year.🤝🏻😄
Hiya Ralf, Ive been clearing out things i had saved but realised i would never use them, downsizing a collection is a difficult time for many of us, i have thousands of die cast cars but im reluctant to part with a single one of them. As for the paints i used to rely soley on solvent based paints but now i use mostly acrylics they have improved considerably over the last few years and now I actually prefer using them. Many thanks for your continued support Ralf my friend
@DiggerEvans No problem, my friend Digger. Well, I don't have thousands of H0 cars right now, but I'm probably around 1500 or a few more. I don't really want to part with most of them too, but before they have to be disposed of later when I clear out the house... The problem is, I could actually give them away straight away, there are just too many used H0 cars on the market, you can't get any money for them anymore. Maybe I'll sell the collection in several lots to some dealer. That's just the way time goes...
@@DiggerEvans Indeed, that's true. But selling those models individually on the well-known auction platforms wouldn't bring in any more money either, and would involve waaaayyyy more effort. But to be honest, I don't know at the moment what I'm going to do and how I'm going to do it... The model hobby is an addiction, and we all know how difficult it is to break free from an addiction!🙃😉
Nice paints, and the work bench looks good. Do you use distilled water in your brush washer?? Regular tap water has minerals in it that make the paint clump. Thanks for sharing.
Great set up, 👌 still planning my great adventure, 😊

@@PolLight3000 Yeah the problem is a dealer will offer you a really low ball price for the stuff but that is better than nothing at all I guess

The water around here is very soft and just about does the job for cleaning brushes but i dont use it for mixing acrylics
Hi. Digger. I've just treaded myself to some more Vallejo paints.
They're a good choice
hi mate ... nice work station .. plenty of stock lol
Thank you my friend
