I loved this series!!! Oh my. How handsome Richard Chamberlain was! This is my favorite movie he was ever in. ❤ I wish I owned this series. It was sad that Maggie became like her mother.
No mention of Barbara Stanwyck? You should go back and add her. She was a major star on this show. Also I'm puzzled by the picture of Harvey Korman as the older Stephan W Burns. Were you trying to show what Burns might look like now?
Met Richard Chamberlain in a restaurant on Maui back in about 2004.. he barely looked a day older than his days in the Thorn birds! I remembered him from waay back in his Dr. Kildare days.. & he still looked absolutely amazing!! He said I didn’t look old enough to remember him as Dr. Kildare.. haha.. what a compliment that was from a gracefully aging older version of a most handsome man. I had a crush on him in my wee years🫠! Anyways, he was very nice & wasn’t irritated by the attention.. but I’m not sure if anyone else even knew who he was? On an island, far away from all the bright lights & cities, I guess most are too laid back to notice.. but I did‼️I didn’t know he was still living now but it’s nice to hear .. & it’s not such a surprise because he seems to have some very good genes👌🏼🔥
Thornbirds is my favourite film of all time.i have NEVER cried as much at any Other story as I did this.i saw thornbirds the missing years too.but it wasn't the same with Amanda reading playing veggie, instead of rachel ward.
Oh,the cemetery, when she tells him Dane is his son too.Thats a killer scene.im amused at the scene where Barbara Stanwyk is after his rain soaked body,as he'd drying himself .His face says it all!😮
Piper Laurie also starred with Mel Gibson in “Tim” (1978), based on the novel Colleen McCullough published before “The Thorn Birds.” The Australian drama was Gibson’s film debut, and he had a romance with Laurie as well.
Whoever chose the actors for this series needs 10 oscars. I'm 76 and this is a group of actors that were more Ezekiel than mossy any movie I've ever seen.
I had the opportunity of seeing Earl Holliman on the set of Police Woman in the 70's. Also on the set that day was Angie Dickinson. Holliman passed recently.
*THE THORN BIRDS (1983) Cast Then and Now 2025 What Happened to The Cast Now 2025*
Thanks for watching
@@HollywoodInside1960s Very much enjoyed.
No mention of the fact that Rachel Ward and Bryan Brown met on the set of the Thorn Birds, married that same year and are STILL MARRIED today!
I knew that! My mother and I watched the whole thing.
Bryan and Rachel have three kids, too. Rachel had dated David Kennedy, RFK’s son, who died of an overdose in 1984.
😥 This makes me feel emotional… The Thorn Birds was truly unforgettable.
😢 This brings back so many memories! This movie was a huge part of my childhood.
I don’t think anyone could replace RC or RW on the Thorn Birds. They were made for this movie♥️
@@irishgal353 I couldn't agree more. Two beautiful people with perfect roles.
Thorn birds was my first book I ever read that was fictional and the best!
I was knocked out by Colleen's writing! One of my all time favorite books.
😍 No matter how many years have passed, they still have that special charm!
😲 I cant believe how fast time has passed! The cast has changed so much!
🤯 Its shocking to see them now! Some of them have changed beyond recognition!
Loved Richard Chamberlain in Dr Kildaire.

Richard Chamberlain lived near my parents in Hawai’i. Everyone loved him.

I was shocked to learn that Richard Chamberlain was gay. I was always rather naive and didn’t have a clue!

@@susanboothroyd3069 The cemetery scene is gut wrenching. Everytime I've seen it, I cry. I cry for what could have been, as no doubt you do as well.

Loved Maggie theory
❤❤❤
“Miss Carmichael” was the name of a neighboring grazier’s daughter. The saucy housemaid of the Clearys was named Judy.
