  • One of the most important tools that can be used in documentaries today is the reenactment, however it is hardly used as much as it should be. However, back in 1988, Errol Morris used them flawlessly in THE THIN BLUE LINE.

Randall Dale Adams was *not* on death row at the time of the documentary The Thin Blue Line. Rather, his death sentence from the trial was converted in 1979 to life in prison, following a appellate court ruling

I loved this movie and have watched it multiple times. An interesting side note was that after The Thin Blue Line got Randal Adams out of prison, he sued Errol Morris. Adams thought that he should have a share in the money that TTBL was making. Morris claims he actually lost money making the movie.
