I wouldn't characterize the songwriting as "mawkish," but to each his own. Since I don't understand Korean, the vocals just another textural element. I heart that.
Not sure why Austin Alvarez went on in this rampage. I was complimenting both bands, I think. "Robert Edwards I wasn't talking to you, thank you very much. I'm not sure why you felt it necessary to defend the artist, when I wasn't disparaging them to begin with. Are you their mom, or something? I said that I welcomed musical recommendations to the contrary, not white-knight retorts to come to the defense of an artist you don't actually know in real life. You are not friends with them, and stop sticking your nose where it doesn't belong, and have some decency and respect. Don't waste your time replying, because I'm blocking and ignoring you. Goodbye, forever." Hopefully he was just drunk.
I really really love this song It has a special place in my heart. The day I played this album, I miraculously healed from a breakup lol And I never looked back. It made me feel so good and even after listening to a few hundred times until now, I’ve loved loved it every time I listen to it 🥹❤

Agree, with "Shit Talk" de Sufjan Stevens in his new album
1:55 - when you've been using Crayola 16 your whole life, then found out the 24-count one.

Love how it meanders along in melodic mode then switches into beautiful noise.
This is the power of a really good melodic song, It can make you feel deep emotions without understanding the lyrics.
