Volkan Inferno... can't say I was surprised here, but I was annoyed that I'd just FIXED TWO NUCLEAR REACTORS and for what? The city to bake itself in napalm.
I actually feel so sad because when I was young, this stage was so frustratingly difficult for me and it was scary seeing everything burning I was about to cry (I was a kid back then, haha.) sadly, I was never able to finish this stage meaning that I couldn't finish this AMAZING game. Now I just hope that some day I'll get to play this beautiful game again. 😞
Phantom R - same here. I got a bit further and got stuck. I didn't coke back to the game for another 5 years! (I think volk is around a third through the game).Best game ever. 'they don't make me like that anymore'.
Volk City, destroying itself by making bombs (which house decoy dead soldiers/civilians in vechiles) underneath the city that are used above ground so everyone can blame the other in the crossfire. Oh, and both nuclear reactors are unstable. Genius, now it's all on fire.
The level that this plays in is called "Volkan Inferno", the completely engulfed in flames, ten times more destroyed then when you first got there, and finally a lot harder when the Volkan Guard Bot appears and starts chasing you, to make matters worse, the damn Guard Bot has a none stop laser shooting out of it's ass, which engulfs anything it touches in flames.
some absolutely crazy time signature stuff going on in this one! counting 8+5 meter in the first section (i hear it as 13/4 at like 300 bpm, but it's probably 13/8 at around 150) and then for a couple measures around 0:49 it switches to 6/8. wild stuff edit: idk where but I was adding a beat in lol, it’s definitely in 12 not 13
@@ClaraDigifu ok yeah listening to this now counting 12 fits better than 13, not exactly sure how I was hearing 13 before but if I had to guess I was counting one bit faster than I should have in the last 4 (I think it might have been the “and” between 3 and 4). Still, 12 at, like, at least 150 bpm with polyrhythms is still crazy lol
This was probably the first guy I got really stressed by in this game. Keep in mind I was a kid and the chase part with the music and time pressure which had not been a part of this game till then really got to me.
Yeah. I was glad when I finally beat that level and the boss wasn't that bad either but then the game was like "what if we take the city, and the robot... And combine them...?" I forgot about this level but once I saw the robot again, those horrible memories came flooding back. Ah... Klonoa is a fun game
I can't remember which is which but I want to say I had dumb luck. I couldn't make the jump near the part where there's a bunch of springs and kept falling over and over. I finally got to the train part where I learned that I shouldn't move klonoa once he's on it the hard way. Later on, you have to outrun the boss from earlier with the same level design. I was expecting to fail at the same place and the game tells me "keep your cool" which isn't helpful. Well I do that part flawlessly like a giant robot wasn't chasing me.
A very nice music... It's like comparing Hydrocity Zone Acts 1 and 2 from Sonic The Hedgehog 3, when the 2nd act music looks way more desperating than the 1st act one.
The villagers when i approach the minecraft village with lava, tnt and a flint and steel in creative mode

Hurray! We are saved from a fiery death so that we can die a fiery death!
William Kyle

I still remember how shocked I was as a kid when I first played this level and saw the entire city on fire.
Better get your hands on any copy mfs are pushing the price up more and more as time goes on
I know you commented 4 years ago, but there is Klonoa collection for Switch coming in July of this year! Your wish is answered!
Good news, ya gettin ya chance!

This level... I remember it so well. The music was edgy and made you feel like you really were Klonoa running for you life 0.0;
I love how the song is like a faster and dissonant version of Volkies Song
i love the big robot chase
This song is absolutely bonkers
Screaming my head off like i was in klonoa's position when I played this level was a definite highlight of this game. XD
Hm.. Seems like Crisis city vibe but More like hydrocity act 2 from Sonic 3 or maybe like idk
Speaking of which... THE whole CITY IS ON FIRE;;

Scariest moment of my gaming childhood, especially after barely defeating him in the fight, this music didn't help
I got Pokemon D/P/Pt vibes from the instruments,,,
This theme would fit perfectly in a Sonic game :)
Yeah, especially Sonic Adventure
You thought Volk was bad before...?
