13:01 Congratulations on 15 years! What an honor with the first Pilot U.S. exclusive! I love your humility and down-to-earth vibes! I’m here for your content!
I can’t keep track of how many pens I purchase each year, but I do know my favorite purchase of 2024 was the Pilot Ltd Edition Vanishing Point Seashore. It’s really a great looking pen and I cannot stop reaching for it. The funny part is that I have 3 other VPs that I’ve owned for the past 10 years with very little use. This proved to me that I really enjoy the visual appeal of pens more so than the functionality of them. All my FPs write, but I reach for the ones with a cool or unique resin or design more than my more traditional pens.
I've almost pulled the trigger on that Delta, it's on my wishlist for this year! I appreciate a brand making a more affordable pen with the same great quality.
If you get one you will not be disappointed… I have a number of Delta pens and find the Spaccanapoli to be up to the Delta fit, finish and quality. They have great resins and are very balanced and pleasant writers.
It has been a great year for my pen collection. If only my wife shared my opinion of something I need 😂❤❤ she does love the suckers that come with the package
Great list Brian! Loved the video… I have a number of the pens you highlighted and second your call on them. Congrats on the first American retailer exclusive. I did get one and love it.
Hi Brian! As the owner of three or four of the pens on the list, I can't disagree with any of the choices! Love my new Kaweco Classic Piston Sport, which I just inked up today. Marvelous!
Brian, you are The Man!. Or at least certainly The Pen Man. Oddly, I bought the Sheaffer immediately BEFORE watching the video. Now I am saying to myself: My, what good taste I have. Ha ha. Happy New Year to you, your family and the entire Goulet team. Mostly I buy pens from you because you all seem to be such nice people.
The coffee colored TWSBI is my hands down favorite! Brain I hope you, your family, and the entire Goulet team have a wonderful start to the New Year in 2025!🎉
I have 4 of these on the list. I really love the Sheaffer Coffee Edition and the Kaweco Piston Sport. The Kaweco writes beautifully and the ink really lasts with the ink reservoir holding MUCH more ink than the Kaweco sport converters.
I have overdone it on my pen collection this year, but my little nieto keeps urging me on because he knows he gets the lollipop! I can't say I even have a favorite anymore...I just fill them all with different color inks and make my planner VERY colorful! THANK YOU for all you do - and CONGRATULATIONS on your collab!
Montegrappa is my favorite brand for all the ridiculous ones they make. I have their Harry Potter Slytherin pen, Apollo rocket, NASA, Wonder Woman, The Riddler and 2 that are more normal pens. Benu is awesome too. Ive had them inked up, forgot about for a month or more and they write right away. So reliable.
Deep clean, some ink could be dried out, also, carefully press down on the paper 4 times, scribble and then do it until you're satisfied (that's what I do lol). You could also use 8000 grit sandpaper to make it feel a little wetter. Another thing is taking that little gold paper thing from the pen tuning kit and CAREFULLY stick it between the tines, from that, you'll see if the tines r too close together or too loose or whatever. Moving it a little bit inside could also help w/ ink flow! (NOT an expert, just losting things that've worked for me!)
Before you do any sand papering…. Make sure you unscrew the filler knob before you start writing. The Vac 700 closes off the ink chamber when the knob is tightened. This is to keep the large capacity of the vacuum filler from leaking when the ink level gets low. You can either unscrew the filler knob and allow ink to fill the feed and lower chamber, then tighten and write… or you can unscrew the knob while you are using the pen.
To work with a pen brand like pilot which provides high quality fountain pens for lowest amount of price among big 3 100 years old fountain pen brands which provides writing experience of pilot prera in kakuno and their inks are also most affordable among sailor platinum and pilot For me pilot is best and most affordable way to experince japanese writing instruments
4:46 This tracks based on house characteristics and color. I’m a Ravenclaw, and we’re most likely to love fountain pens. It’s also gorgeous, but the Slytherin is my favorite and second choice house.
I want them all; I can't afford them. I want them all; I can't store 'em. But I can save up for a rainy day, throwing some old crap away. There, finally, is a spot for another grail pen.
I got my gf the dark lilac and she lost it so it was so cool to give her the blackberry lamy and she likes it better than the dark lilac anyway! I mean... it'd be nice if we found the dark lilac...😅
In general the design of most Cross pens have a flat top finial so they look a little different to me, but they are metal like many Cross pens are. The Sheaffer Coffee is a beautiful pen though… and a great writer.
Honestly wish LAMY hadn't done that specific collaboration with HP, it actually makes them pretty problematic. But that's okay, if it pulls people in good for them. There's no need for me to buy their pens. I love what TWSBI did with their Kyanite Blue and they continue to be my favourite brand over the last few years. I might need the new 580 lol And that Benu rose tea. So cute.
I bought a Ravenclaw Lamy from you guys! Wonder if there’s a correlation between people who like Ravenclaw and people who like fountain pens.. Because the most popular houses are Griffindor and Slytherin. So the fact Ravenclaw is your top selling is interesting.
Kind of sad to see yet another Harry Potter branded product, and then to call it “thoughtful”? LAMY definitely didn’t have to do that… Pretty problematic to give even more money and validation to Queen Terf.
I enjoy your channel and have learned alot about the various types of fountain pens and their price points. However, regarding the Harry Potter line, there has been much discussion about the Satanic and occultic symbols they use in their books, as well as witchcraft, and now their pens. I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole.

Yayyyy!!! The #1 is soooo gorgeous!! And i love that both my coffee inspired pens are on here. I’m obsessed!
Bravo on that Pilot !

Wouah!! That Sheaffer is amazing! OK, I am a bit too much addicted to coffee and so am biased, but that is a gorgeous pen!
I enjoyed your video. Write On!!! 👍👍
nice list!! as a beginner Im very happy to see the tuzu in there, I just bought it and Im very excited for it to arrive

I think Brian would put the quill from a bluebird on his 'best of' list, because, well, blue.
Thanks for the list!

I love TWSBI...
im sorry but as instrument lover, both fine writing and music, i cant help but look at the Ibanez TOD10N on the background 😩
Niiicee catch. I noticed the Ibanez in the back but I didn’t realize it was Tim Henson’s sig
And the tiny LEGO Strat too lol
Who would've thought.. the lamy 2000 is on here again! :)
Loved the Coffee edition😊
Lamypalooza! Love it.
11:13 The Lamy limited edition pine has to become a standard edition. It’s my grail pen!
The euphoria earl grey and lavender lemonade are on my wish. My fingers are crossed for that TWSBI ECO dark green and dark purple with bronze trim!
Lamy 2000 Pine in Germany everywhere available. But expansive...
Hmmm. Any news on any Lamy AL special editions/new colors? I love them because of the grip.

Sent my brother ‘Conrad’s ‘Mirror of the Sea’ and a Sheaffer Coffee Edition rollerball to underline the hell out of it. He loves them both.
If Sheaffer brought beck the Valor, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Does Rachel have a hottest list for pens or ink?
Your list is a pretty good one. I like the TWSBI Eco.
my TWSBI 700 is a really tough starter -- any recommendations for fixing this?

@@daiana04 Will give those suggestions a try -- thanks!

I would really like to get the pilot, but it's too expensive even in the regular version
Is that the Tim Henson signature guitar in the background?
THat Delta you showed has almost 100% same body design as a Monteverde I have. Running into a lot of pens that look way too much alike lately.....

Bought an almost antique Sheaffer Targa with inlaid steel nib. I can stop collecting now.
Is it my imagination or does the Sheaffer pen look lika a Cross? 🤔
In general the design of most Cross pens have a flat top finial so they look a little different to me, but they are metal like many Cross pens are. The Sheaffer Coffee is a beautiful pen though… and a great writer.

So many great pens so little money. 😂
Disappointed that diplomat viper isn’t on this list and a bunch of reheats are.
Ravenclaw Nation !!!
